Your husband or male S/O comes home bearing a packet of hair dye! A colour that is so out of his normal character. Black turns blonde. Brown to redhead etc. Once you've recovered from laughing do you help him. Or is he on his own. You won't be seen dead with him with different coloured hair.

My old lad (who has wild, grey, frizzy hair) is SO unconcerned with his looks that if he came home with any type of hair product whatsoever, I'd be so shocked I'd assumed aliens had invaded his body and tampered with his brain. Either that, or he'd found some tantalising Spanish girl named Conchita who wanted to teach him salsa. In either event, I would have to pack my bags and leave home ...

My other half wanted to go blond so we got the dye and I helped him with it. It didn't look too bad because his colouring is fair anyway but his hair is naturally, well, I don't know actually. It's sort of not brown, not quite grey, baby says it's black. Anyway, I was glad to help him with it. Thankfully, it was only a phase because, although it didn't look terrible, I didn't like it. Apart from that, he was such a wimp and the dye stained my favourite jumper! I don't think I would want him to do it again.

My jumper got stained because I was the one who actually dyed his hair as I knew what I was doing and he didn't. I wouldn't have let him do it by himself

hehe good question. Sure I would help him and even go to town with him after. Wats the difference between them doing it and us women doing it. We go from brown to blonde, black to brown, and don't forget we go red and if we are really bold major splashes of color like blues and red red. More power to him.

I'd be the last one to laugh considering how many times and how many colors I have dyed my own hair. I'd like to say that every venture was a stunning success, but I wouldn't be telling the truth, the whole truth, so help me Clairol. So in those times of need when my ex-boyfriends have come to me and asked for my help, I'm only too glad to give it. And if it so happened that the color was perhaps not their natural calling, who am I to suddenly become judge and jury? It looks fabulous darling. She laughs all the way to the gloves and back remembering the time when he ticked her off by not.............well, now that doesn't really matter, now does it? Justice has found a way, tee, hee, hee, hee....

Oh, I'd help him for sure. Then I'd auction him off the highest bidder until his own color grew back. LOL

Tell the hubs - he just thinks I'm mean! LOL Doesn't appreciate that if he's going to do something so radical (!), I should at least make a pound or two on it to compensate me for my 'loss'! ROFL

Break his freaking arm as he comes through the door. He fell in love with you for you! If he would prefer a blond, that's your decision. It should be something the both of you have discussed at length and the final decision is yours.

Very well said, Walker! I love you too.
Love
Your Favourite Wife...and I think I misunderstood the question. LOL If ayone ever thought of dying your hair, I'd wonder. The hair you have looks BRILLIANT just the colour it is. Don't even think of getting rid of the dang grey. If I wanted a younger man I would have married one.

Well after getting off the floor from where I was laughing so hard that I fell out of my chair.. I would really tell him to stay home and I would get the right dye myself so that he will get it right. I really think that they should get advice before doing such a dramatic change in their appearance. I think that the best if the 5 minute Just for men dye it helps while not drastically changing to much.. of course some men look good with their hair dyed blonde or sun streaked.

It depends on your complexion I guess that is how woman usually choose their colors to dye their hair. If your hair is already a darkish color then black might work, but then if it is light brown then it would be best to go with the lighter color. And if all else fails..you can always shave or use nair hair removal

hmmm good question. I have seen a my ex dawn the hair die and his hair turned orange LOL!!! I was laughing so hard I fell out of the chair.. But I still went in public with him and keep on as business as usual it was him who could not bear it and so he shaved his head, but he had to do it anyway since he was going into the army. Every now and then I think about getting some bood red streaking though my hair when I dye it mahagoney. LOL!!!

I don't think it was that much of a plunge his mom was a hair dresser and could dye your hair any color you want and she would make it turn out right .. I think it would have been better if he went to her. LOL!! Instead he got some box stuff. Yuck I don't do that I buy the real stuff I have to mix and use. LOL!!!!!! But I use to have that kate winslet red from the titanic. LOL!!!

My husband is military and when he went on leave last month we cut it into a mohawk and dyed it cherry red! We shaved it all off the night before he had to go back to work. It didn't bother me in the least! It's just hair, have fun with it.
My parents thought he was crazy and his parents didn't even blink when they saw it. Nothing surprises them! lol
I actually liked it.

Is that your husband in the photo? Good for him. The military obviously expects a literal degree of uniformity, so it's good to see some individuality creeping in. Even if it's only when they are on leave. If I did that my mother would have an attack of what they used to call "the vapours". LOL.

I don't think I would ever recover from laughing at that. But on the off chance that I did, I would help him dye it back or shave it off. And your right, until it was fixed I wouldn't be seen with him! LOL

I color my own from time to time, and both of my best friends have me do theirs, so I'd be okay with it. I'd even help him, because obviously he's going to do it whether I like it or not. If I didn't help him, he'd just get it all over my clean bathroom. I also wouldn't want him to get uneven coverage and look bad; he's never even watched me do mine! Besides, it could be a bonding experience, as well as something to laugh about in later years. I just hope he would tell me he wanted to change colors and let me help pick out one to complement him instead of picking out a bad one for himself.
For better or worse, he's never on his own from me, nor I from him. No matter how ridiculous or silly!

He hated it and went back to his natrual colour.
He has decided to live with being grey i think he was trying to make himself look younger but it didn't work. It made no difference.

My mother was the only person who ever bought any dye in this house. She was getting a few gray hairs and didn't want to look old, because "people take advantage of gray haired people." I tried to argue "but not if the gray haired person is FORMIDABLE." Besides, I believe gray hair makes a person look royal. I know I won't do anything to alter my gray hairs when they come. Luckily, my Mom decided that dye was too much to bother with and went back to her gray haired glory.
Cheers and happy mylotting

I'll help him of course. What are partners for, but to support each other? If It was the other way around, I'm sure he will support me too. Anyway, it's just hair and more hair, not something inherent or something inside. (I mean character). What comes from the outside does not reflect the character of a person. It is what comes from inside that does.
