I was scared but I took the plunge and signed up for CB. Then I signed up for a site that offered me a free website. Well, when I tried to log in I couldn't unless I copied and pasted the password. I thought to myself "UH..that's weird" but I went on. Once their it asked for my CB ID so it could make a url, still thinking it's weird but being new to this I went on. After the url was made it said click this link to go to your new site so I did and what was there? NOT MY SITE!!! It was the same page I signed up on only in a different color. Now I'm worried...so I go back a page get the www. address from the address bar and typed in the address minus all the stuff at the end, response...no such site. The signin address they gave me got the same results. So I googled the name on the signin page got that address, where the free site was supposed to be located and went to the main site. Tried to login and was told I wasn't a user. No such user id. So I sent clickbank an email explained what happened and asked them to close out my brand new account, because I will NOT use that account id to place ads. I don't know if whoever I signed up with will be able to hack my CB account and changed my stuff or make my ads theirs or whatever.
So now what? Can I make a new CB account or did I just mess myself up by falling for that Free Site crap?
