I peed in the trash can!

Ok, I did not pee in the trash can! My son just did though! I am sitting here trying to get the baby down for his nap, the bathroom door is easy to open and there's a potty chair out here just in case. My 3 year old walked up o me a said "I peed in the trash can!"
He's quite proud of himself for not peeing in his pants...I am too, but the trash can! It's a small waste basket type that we use for odds and ends papers to burn. I have no idea why he thought he should pee in there. The potty chair is not 10 feet from the trash can. There's no liner in the trash can either so as soon as I can lay the baby down I'll have to take the trash can out, dump the contents and hose it down.
My boys have a knack for peeing everywhere besides where they're supposed to pee. Anyone want to share funny peeing stories?

lol that is cute. when my oldest was peeing when she was about that age, she tried to pee standing up because Daddy does. lol. Then their daddy for some reason, when he is done peeing he will spit in the toilet before he flushes. so with both my GIRLS, you would hear them going to the bathroom and then hear them spit then flush the toilet. I keep picking on him now that we have a boy to quit ruining my girls lol.

My son discovered the joys of peeing outdoors shortly after he was potty trained. He used to wait until he was outside and then run over and pee on a bush, a tree, and once even the side of the garage. Hey, that might help with the potty training issue. If you are in an area that is not surrounded by neighbors, maybe you could let them pee on a tree outside. My son loved it. Heck, he is 8 and he still does.

Last week I took my daughter and her friend to the beach. Two women with three children, a boy snd two girls, all under four, came and sat close by. Almost immediately the boy said that he wanted to go to the loo "I want a poo" he said. So one woman went and the other stayed. The little girls were playing when I noticed that one of them sat on a bucket and had a pee. Once she had finished the other girl filled it with sand and took it to where the woman was sitting. She upturned it and we watched whilst the woman admired it. Little did she know what was binding the sand together!

LOL that is really funny. When my son was three ( he is seven now) we went to the post office and they had a small trash can in the corner by the counter. I was at the counter being served when I realised he had gone quiet, when I looked around he was peeing in the trash can in front of everyone! I was totally and utterly mortified!

Hrm, my little cousins tended to pee in the Hamper (thankfully no when there were clothes in there when I caught them!) I guess they just liked seeing the yellow color go into the little seams at the bottom. As for why? I have no clue, and trying to get an answer out of them? HAH! Good luck! But I just had to keep reminding them that is the wrong place to pee, even a bad place to pee, because what if someone else touched it and didn't wash their hands? or what if there were clothes in there? They might get sick.
Cute story though, good luck with the rest of the training!!

hahaha that is funny .. my 4 year old used to pee behind the couch which is not really a funny thing but it was upsetting to me because he could have walked to the the bathroom but was lazy and did it behind the couch instead.

Hi foxyfire,
That is very funny...But, at least he didn't really pee in his pants...LOL!
maybe he was thinking since it's best in the trash can! LOL!
I have no kids and the common incident for my friends' kid is peeing in their pants or shorts!

He just loves to pee now and doesn't like peeing in his pants so he'll just go where ever is convenient...or wherever he thinks might be funny. At least he told us he peed in there, it wasn't very full yet and would have been a few days before we dumped it otherwise.

No you can't get mad for this he couldn't hold it to get to the potty. At the time I think if he didn't go when he did he would have either pee peed on himself and you would have got him for sure. So at least he didn't what to do it on himself and didn't do it on the floor either. I know that was not the right place. But the boy had to go.

Never said amything about getting mad and I wouldn't have "got him" if he had peed his pants. I was just trying to share a funny story not ask for unnecesary advice.

That is funny. I do not have any funny pee stories to share unfortunately. I have two girls, the oldest potty trained way early. She was done at 18months and never really did much funny. My youngest is only 3mos old so we are not even close to potty training time yet.

That is pretty impressive to have one train so young! Did you work with her or was she just ready to train on her own? My 20 1/2 month old watches the older boys pee and will sit on the little pottty but he really has no idea how to do it yet.

Lol the things kids do.
I remember when one of my sons was four he use to go out into the bottom of the garden to pee. I think it was more laziness on his part as the toilet is upstairs so it was easier to go outside.
One time we had his cousin down to stay for a few days(he was four as well at the time) and we found both of them peeing at the bottom of the garden. We think they were trying to out do each other as there was a bit of rivalry between them.

Oh mine love peeing out side too! The same 3 year old streaked outside the other day simply to pee. It's funny when he and his 5 year old broher pee together because they wave their bits around to hit each others pee. Thank goodness they only do that outside and not in the bathroom though LOL I have enough dribbles to clean up in there!

foxyfire have you ever driven across states like wyoming and montana where service stations are few and far between? well when I was in my teens, eons ago, we were driving across montana
and I had to go in the worst way,and we were miles from the nearest service station. my dad said just open the car doors
on the passenger side and go ahead and pee, well I did not
think that was safe as cars could see us,so I opted for
'a big clump; of brush in the middle of an open field.I got my pants down, did my thing, and was about to pull them up when I heard a deep chuckle then an out and out male laugh. I looked around to see a man, evidently a farmer from his clothes, atop a
big brown horse. All the time I was standing there my butt still hanging out, so finally I pulled up my slacks, zipped and ran like hell back to our car. I was so embarrassed I felt like I was two inches high. lol.

Actually Hatley, I have never really travelled anywhere. A couple New England states, 5 states that border PA, 1 mile or so into Michigan, and a plane ride to Orlando, FL. I've always wondered what it would be like to travel out in places like that though...but if it means peeing in farmers' fields LOL I think I'll pass!

That is too funny Little boys will do these things mine never failed to surprise me. I remember when my youngest was trying to re potty train (my mother in law messed it up after the first time)anyhoo I couldn't find him or his older brother who was 10 at the time. I freaked out and ran in to the yard only to find them out back pretending that they were sprinklers and peeing while spinning around in circles. My oldest was trying to help him and thought that if peeing was fun he would stop wetting his pants. After that we taught him a new game that involved hitting a target in the potty so the neighbors and my grass would be happier. Aren't kids the greatest. Even though you have to clean up the mess you know you will never forget this and it will be a treasured memory when they are all grown and moved out.

i had when my son was still newly born..and i was trying to change his diaper that time and was wondering why that every time hes wet..his navel will be also and i had to change the bandage i used for it...then after a time of observing it..i was changing his top(t-shirt) and that includes also the diaper.. when he urinate..and i saw that his little thing was not really that straight and that every time he pee the direction will always be pointing on his navel or at his little stomach..is it the same with your newly born too? i had only one boy and that i cant compare with the others..

That is funny and annoying at the same time. My boys and I lived out in the country when they were little. we took a trip to grandma's in Fort Wayne Indiana. As soon as the boys got out of the car they went and peed on the neighbors drive way. I thought granny was going to have a heart attack. They were so use to peeing out in the middle of no where. we had to watch them close for a while.

I know what you are saying about the peeing everywhere! My son is four and he still pees all over. He pees in his closet,in the corners of his room and occasionally on his bedtime stories! He shares a bathroom with my sixteen year old and instead of going in the toilet he goes in the tub! It drives my daughter crazy! We have changed the carpet in his room. It already smells like pee in there again! Anyone with advice on what to do. I have tried everything and spanking him? What to do?
