i know the 1st thing in ur mind will be....is he mad...even i am a huge fan of schumi...but is kimi better than schumi..Michael records speak for themselves...kimi was picked up only having 13 races of expierencein racing and that created controversy in F1 but shunned everyone by finishing 5th in very first GP...very next year he was a replacement for the double champmika in mclaren....stayed 5 years in benz till 2003...in his very third year he gave schumi...then a 5 time champ then a title run till last race...only winning a single racr that yeaR...2005 he truly unleased himself....winning 7 gps even biggest drivers said ...he was "Virtually Untouchable"...and if the MP420 cud have been little more consistent...he wud have been the successor of schumi not alonso.....2006 was a disaster....tehn replaced and filled in the boots of 7 time champ in the ferrari...resurges after french GP and takes the title by storm....2007....befor todays race.everyone was talking about his retirement...and he nounces back in the WC...even F1.com says "the car couldn't keep up to his talent and it took seven seasons for KIMI "ICEMAN" RAIKKONEN" to become world champion" on the official site...the point i am making is ability to put up fight after fight even after failing race after race...i think almost 90 races in mclaren and only 9 wins...how many times has his car illfaithed him...even in brazil when schumi retired u know how he drove and even he got up in alonso ....but most watchable battle was kimi vs schumiin an inferior benz vs a superior ferrai and he put it all with nothing to gain....but he put up his 100% in a winless season...everybody talks about hamiltons drive in silverstone but kimi drive was a better...from 2nd to 11th (mistake by ferrari) back to 4th..he cud have three wins canada...france...silverstone...all were in his bags..but was again he proved to be a bad luck magnet...in 8 long years career...has fallen by the mistakes of his teams then by the mistakes of his own...but he absolutely nails race after race...montoya left F1 bcos he felt frustrated and cud not overtake...michael was not able to beat him in pre season testing...he has so many failures in F1 and without the fault of his own and now he plans to retire..just put urself in his position...u have the potential to be the best software engineer but ur giving tutions to young kid....i dont queston michales brilliance behind the wheels...but only question whether he would have been able to give his 100%for so many years even after falling so many times by the hands of destiny...anybody can put his 100%after wins afetr wins....but how many can put 100% failures after failures....he doesnt get frustrated as alonso...never has a huge controversy as michael has for his thics...aggressive only on the track....suzuka 2006 17th to 1st...Kimi Matias raikkonen ....a driver for whom 2nd IS JUST THE FIRST LOSER...is probable the finest this sport has ever seen....something stats dont say....i am not putting it to offend anyone...but just ask ur thoughts about what i feel....wwww.formula1.com/teams_and_drivers/hall_of_fame/12
