Anyone else used this website yet? The idea is you type up a story a bit at a time, say 100 words. At each point you break off, you can add more, but so can other people, so the story can branch off in all sorts of multiple directions like a tree.
No money on this one, unlike most of the sites folk link to on here, it's all just for a laugh. Though admittedly you can add Google AdSense to your snippets, so you never know...
Just signed up for it myself, my profile's at http://www.1000000monkeys.com/user.html?monkey=960 , if you wanted to add me as a friend or anything. No, I don't get a referral bonus ;)
So, any of you tried it? Hate it, love it, indifferent?

That actually sounds really interesting and fun! Just curious; you don't make money with this site right? It's strictly to pratice and better your writing ability?

*I don't really care about the money part, I like writing! So I think this might be a site I'd enjoy! :)

I haven't tried this...however story mash is similar only you write a whole chapter and then someone else writes the next one (or more then one someone else) and you get a story tree that way. Plus you make money (though not a lot. I have made 22 cents).

I've heard of Story Mash, but never got round to trying it. I'll have to put it on the list, though I'd have to have a look at their terms, if they're paying. Monkeys, like Ficlets (which is very similar too) runs under the Creative Commons licence, which means I keep anything I write. Couldn't care less with articles on the whole, but fiction, I like to keep my rights to it unless they're willing to pay me properly at like 3c/word ;)
