how can i know if others comment on my comments?

dear you.i would like to know how you get to know that someone has commented back your comments?
after i comment on people's discussions i dont know whether the one who started that discussion will comment back or something.
do you have any idea about this?

i have mylot sending me emails informing me about comments or friends' discussions on mylot. It's really nice. You can edit your preference and do the same as mine too.
