Here Comes the Heat

Our forecast for today is hot, very hot. The temperature along with the humidity will make it feel between 105 and 110 degrees outside. Playground equipment can get as hot as 124 degrees today. My plan is to run a couple of errands early and come back here to keep cool. When it's this hot outside, do you stick close to home in the air conditioning or continue on with your life as usual even if it means being outside for extended periods of time?

Stop, stop, stop, we are not going to have 105, we are not. It's bad enough we got your rain, we're not having your heat. The Adirondacks and the Geat Lakes are going to cool us off/save us. Glad we have air conditioning just in case. Take care.

No when the heat comes I try to stay in as much as possible, it is just too miserable out there. You know I can recall the summers back in the early 60's never being this hot and unbearable. Yes we had hot days and people would perspire but it seems like the heat has gotten worse and so much stronger, I see people (including myself) sweating like never before and many have such a hard time even breathing. I don't know if global warming has anything to do with this or is it because I am getting older, I don't understand it. The summer heat is just not the same.

I believe age has alot to do with tolerating this extreme heat. We didn't have air conditioning when I was a kid. I was fine in the heat and would very often spend all day ouside in the sun swimming. I had an awful time this morning out in the car with the windows rolled down. Didn't take long until I turned on the a/c in the car. Tough to breathe out there today. Thanks for responding.

When it's hot outside I stay inside as much as possible. I was out running a few errands sunday and it was way over 100. I tell you it just drained me being out in that heat - the car was so hot getting in and out of it. I felt like a noodle by the time I got home - totally exhausted. I don't like the heat.

Hi carolbee,
My God you all must be roasting, can't believe it can get so hot like that, here in the U.K is very dull and has been raining hard but it is much cooler than it has been of late, I think staying indoors is cooler so don't venture out too much.
