I have one vcr, its in the living room. I don't use it very often. I have some tapes of my kids and of my wedding. I haven't put them to dvd yet. I have three dvd players. one in the living room, and one built into a tv in my daughters room, and one in my sons room.

You are right, VHS is going the way of the old 8 track tapes. And before long the DVDs will be all on Blu Ray. Yet one more expensive machine we will be forced to buy. I have one VCR/DVD combo and one DVD player/recorder in my home. Also 2 DVRs supplied with my satellite tv subscription. I use the DVRs the most and the DVDs for the movies we rent from Netflix. Hardly use the VCR at all any more. I refuse to invest now in Blu Ray until I am forced to down the road. Maybe by then they will be cheaper, but will probably be replaced by whatever new technology comes along then. It is irritating that these companies can actually control our spending patterns by replacing their own technologies at random. We are forced to keep up or be left in the dust with old unsupported hardware.

I have about 4 boxes of VHS tapes stored in the closet that I am slowly replacing with DVD's. Normally, I wouldn't but most of the tapes are really bad quality and need to be replaced anyways. We have one VCR and it's in the living room but we also watch the movies on our pc's. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

We have a couple of dvd players, two regular ones and one hi-def that attaches to the Xbox 360. We don't own a VCR anymore and haven't for years. My parents still have a couple of them because they have a ton of VHS tapes that the grandkids like to watch still. I think our next purchase will be a blu-ray but not for awhile.

i have a VCR that i use to tape programs that i want to watch the next day. i paid $10.00 for the VCR at a pawn shop, and i buy blank tapes at Walgreen's for .099 cents. i usually record over the tapes several times before replacing them. i do have several movies and such on VHS tape, but don't usually watch them as my DVD player and Surround Sound is a much better viewing experience.

We still have a VCR and it's functional. We still have some videos, too. We also have two DVD players. All in the living room. We got the second DVD player, when we found one that could play German DVDs (Europe is a different region from the Northamerica) and still plug in and function with our regular DVDs. Since then our first one broke but we haven't pulled it out of the system. Mostly because we don't want to go through the work of trying to get it out and untangling and sorting out the cables etc...

We have 1 VCR still in the home, hooked up to our big screen in the family room. I think hubby is hanging onto it cuz some of his adult movies are on VHS. We do also ahve a few kids movies still on VHS, but my son never watches them. We have two DVD players but the one in my sons room is broke.

Well I am behind the times. The only dvd player that I have is on the computer. I am not a big movie watcher. My boyfriend and I will be getting a dvd player as soon as we finish re-doing the apartment. I have 2 vcrs but I don't use them anymore. I used to tape my soaps, but I don't even bother anymore.

We have two VCRs hooked up, for watching movies from our VHS collection primarily. We also use them currently to record show from television to watch later. (Our DVD recorder which also has a hard drive, isn't working at the moment. That is what we normally use to record shows to watch later on.) We also have a second DVD player with Dolby 5.1 sound, so prefer to watch movies on it. :) Eventually, I plan to put all the VHS movies on DVD.

I still have a VCR simply because sometimes I buy things (such as documentaries and behind the scenes footage of various things I am interested in) that happen to be old and are and will probably never be released on DVD because there would probably not be enough interest or it is out of print and the only way you can buy it is on a used VHS tape. Most of what I own is on DVD though.

hi how are you well i do not thinj that there will be people who wil be buying vhs because that technology has got outdated and there will be only a hndful of people who will be buying those and no one else the dvd players are usually availabele in the marlets for around 30 to 35 dollars so it is not such a costly option and people should upgrade as soon as possibel

Well most right now I have a dvd player but I still have tapes of my old movies and my favorites. I prob will get a dvd/vhs player for 20 bucks at walmart. No blu rays for me yet. I love to record tv shows while I am away and of course I wish I get a tivo or dvr but will wait and see.
