I am a senior student now and going to graduate from my university a year later.Confronting two tough choices ,I am trapped in dilemma, the first choice is ,as the majority of students do,find a job just after when I graduate, but the competition is really fierce and I am not sure I will be recruited in a famous company.furthermore,I take some interests in my field and feel a little hesitant to quit further study(my research field is electronic engineering, the benefit is that I can earn myself related experiences when I am still young. The other one is try to enter a graduate department and continue my study there, the problem is I cant predict the situation three years later, perhaps,it will be more severe then and thus make it even harder for me to hunt a decent job,or it will be just little better than what it is now.I doubt the little benefit is well worth the three years of efforts.
I sincerely hope to absorb your precious experiences and views.Thank you!

hi. i'm also a senior student and i've been thinking about this for quite some time too. should i go to graduate studies or get a job?
well, why not both? some are able to do it and that's what i'm planning to do.
but the job i'm planning to get is only on entry level so that i can do it with my studies. do i sound so serious and well planned? haha...well, the nerd in me speaks.
actually, some of my thoughts are from my parents. they say graduate studies is also a requirement now for several jobs in order to be promoted like those who work in banks. and in my field, i've heard it too many times already.
i don't know much about electronic engineering. but if i were in your situation, i'd say test the waters first. go get a job and when you see it as a need to get graduate studies, then go get it. just don't see it at a late time or everything else will be too late. hehe...i hope i was of help. lol. =)

Well,to be honest with you,my motivation to further my study partly comes from my interests and the pressure my parents impose as well, they urge me to enter the graduate study, just as you said, they view it as a must and potential for the people on the position. In fact what I want to do is get a job while studying, yet it will definitely violate the contract we sign up when hunting a job .As a result I have to figure out anther alternative. And now I am leaning towards taking your second suggestion, which is also similar with what my adviser said.Thank you,and best wishes for your bright future!
