As it is known to all rainforest is in danger. In order to protect it, which way is better, developing eco-tourism to raise money for goverment to maintain the forests or keep it untouched? I think the latter is better. What's your opinion and explain why.

I have been in rain forest and it was an amazing experience. It is a terrible shame that the rain forest is disappearing and it must be cared for before it is too late. Is is unrealistic to keep the rain forest untouched unless we are talking inaccessible Guyana here. Looking at Australia's rain forest I think eco-tourism is a wonderful idea. Slogans like "where the rain forest meets the sea" attracts eco-tourists that spend money. Much of this money can be used for conservation efforts. In poor countries the rain forest must be watched or some locals might start logging. I love to see native wildlife and hope to go to Costa Rica one day to see many different species in the rain forest.
