What do you really want to do with your life?

I am currently eighteen years old. While growing up my life was very distorted due to my parent's divorce. While I attended high school my grades suffered drastically. Then when it came to me realizing the facts of college - I could not get into any universities. Instead, I had to settle for a community college.
- This is just an example of how life gets in the way of achieving your goals, maybe some of you had a baby and was forced to settle down - or you just never got around to doing what was "required" to get where you needed in life.
So for one second, I want you to forget all the stress and painful things in your life and think to yourself - what do I really want to do?
I hope all of you realize that life is what you make it.
- So tell me, what is your ideal life?
* I would love to venture into space, and escape this world just for a few seconds *

Let me tell something. I am very impressed by what you have said here. You are a very young girl of eighteen. You have many years ahead of you. I am touched by your story of growing up within a divorce. Yes that sure can distort the views of a young child. I am not the product of divorce but I feel for your story.
You seem to have a lot of wisdom beyond your years. Things that happen when you are younger really can start the journey for those who want to make in life and you can either get stronger by it or not.
I am forty years old. I still haven't lost sight of my dreams. I am married with a four year old son. I would like to achieve something in my life like going back to school to perhaps earn a degree. I feel like I can do this if I put my mind to it. Good luck young lady. You are an inspiration.
