Even though I am not a Ferrari fan, my heart went out to Felipe Massa after his blown engine in the 3rd last lap. He had dominated the race right from the beginning and was set to win it quite comfortably but luck evaded him and a distraught Ferrari camp looked on as the Ferrari came to a standstill near the start-finish line. Formula 1 is sometimes cruel to its drivers.

luck wasn't part of the hungaroring GP, you noticed how many cars burning before massa's disastrous 3rd to the last lap? hungaroring race was just a punishing and blistering hot inferno. i remember it clearly, there were 3 cars who caught on fire during pit stops. i remember there was a quote that the engine was too hot and it caught fire at the back of the car. i think ferrari's unreliability shows up again in this GP.

Yes, Ferrari was the only car to have a blown engine in the Hungarian GP raises concerns over it's reliability. But, I still think it was bad luck because Ferrari have been very consistent in term of engine reliability all these years. It was plain bad luck for Felipe. Sorry dude, it was not your day.

hahaha, you made me laugh in there. you are right, it was not his day. imagine 3 more laps to go and you retire because of engine trouble? geezz, that's so frustrating in his part, i guess. on the other hand, this might the the only time that ferrari had a blown engine but in the past GP's they have other engine troubles too.

Thats why there is constructor championship points there seperate. All companies producing and taking part in Formula 1 have to show hard work and devotion in maintaining their racing car. Only the driver's are not required to win every race but it was real bad luck for Massa to end up in smoke. Same thing happened with Michael Schumacher many times while he was in Ferrari but I am still Ferrari fan.

Surely he must have. He had shown the fire in him to win right from the first turn in the race when he notched up two places to lead the race. It was plain bad luck given the fact that there very only 2 other retirements and no other engine blowups.
