slow pc on XP with SP2

i have just installed ServicePack 2 becose i need it for one program in order to work ... but after i install it my computer is started to working slowly ... opening new maps is toooo slow, just like browsing through internet .. and im using mozilla
can anyone help me with it

i have a Intel P4 3.0, i have two ram's both are with 512MB, so thats total of 1GB of ram ... graphical is ASUS with 128MB ... and so on
im really intrested why this isnt working when before installing SP2 it was all ok

is there any way i can remove service pack 2 from my pc in order to see will again it work as it was before the installation ... and i dont what to format pc, is there any uninstall thing to do

you could try add more ram. Theres also this site called crossloop.com Where people that are good at fixing computers will try to fix your computer through the internet. You do have to pay them tho.

u run the cleanup wizard. It also depends on the anti-virus you are using. I could help you better if you give me the configuration of your PC.

what specific configurations you need to know becouse i allready say that i have graphic card ASUS Radeon a9550 128MB and there is some problem with it ... now its looking pretty good becouse i set the the Hardware acceleration to None (he was on Full) ... this now means that im working without graphic card and its working well ... onyl that i cannot play any games and watch some video (its gets laggy on them, only video, games doesnt whant to start)

First of all look back to your power supply that its fan is working. If it does not move, change the power supply. If this does not solve your problem, try replacing the data cables of your hard disk. Finally check your c drive for bad sector. Some times bad sector slows down the os.

what are you people talking about??
installing SP2 will never decrease your system's performance...you might have virus in your system...
did you downloaded SP2?this virus might have came by that also!!..download from microsoft website and use such products...
Install a anti-virus software and check for viruses...if you can find any other solutions...
Just format the entire system...

i found out that there are problem in my graphic card ... i try downloading new drivers and installing them but still it doesnt work ... it looks like i will need to format it ... this really sucks
btw. i download SP2 from microsoft page

did it start getting slow right after you installed it or right after you installed the other program. Also has your computer suffered any power surges lately?

it started after i installed a SP2 ... i still does have not installed a this program becouse i need to download and .NET Framework but will do that after i fix this problem with SP2 on my comp.
