I sure hope not because some of my favorite bands have people in their late 40's to nearly 70's (Rolling Stones). If it makes you get up and move, it is makes you happy than what does your age matter.

Like the saying goes, 'It's never too old to learn.' Yet technically, something like playing the piano, the violin, according to some people, needs to start early, as early as 3 or 5 years old. However, There isn't any set conclusion. If you want something, just go for it. Then you'll make it.

a band... good for you!!!
no, its not too late to get into the music industry, I mean... music was meant to make people happy (or in some cases sad) and I think that as you get older, the better, because you learn so much more and use that in your life, so... I hope that you have a lot of success!

I definitely don't think that there is an age that is "too" old to start. Maybe if musicians started their careers a little later they'd handle success better. Who knows. I am 25, and I have always wanted to be a singer.. but my first real opportunity to perform for a big crowd was when I was about 20, it was a talent show at school. Then when I was I guess 23, I recorded my first full length album. Now, I'm not saying I've had tons of success, but my point is, it's never too late. I do feel like I need to make it by 30 to really get to the level I want to be at--but, I also know that there are a good amount of singers/musicians who are famous and who are 30+. So I say go for it and don't let any younger people make you think you can't do it, if you have talent you should use it!

no definately not, like most people you fall inlove with music because it moves you, i mean half of the time i dont even know what the singer looks like until i do some online searching, like i really started liking a band called the Misfits i didnt know they were guys in make up and black clothes....so if you love it then do it doesnt matter what age, ethnicity or style.
