What makes so many people

I get really frustrated at all the US bashing, in the news we're losing soldiers and those soldiers have families that must now make a life without them. I cannot fathom it. But there are people in other countries right now building bombs, with malice towards the people they don't know in this nation, they build bombs, make themselves into bombs, kill anyone that looks american. I see skits on MAD tv and Saturday Night Live and it's just really not that funny that so many people want us to die. It's a slap in the face when on the same token these countries not only ask but expect the US to aid them in their times of need in disaster and strife and widespread disease. Every person in this nation is aware of the Darfur struggle and their need for assistance, there are campaigns in this country for the AIDS struggle in Africa. That's just a small sample of the humanitarian work this nation and it's people put forth. Oprah?... So what is everyone's problem?

I agree, it's hard to understand how a country can exist without someone holding their thumb over it's people. Independence is a mystery I suppose elsewhere. That's a sad thing.

Yes but when you look at your government and what it has potentially done to other countries, do you fault them for former leaders, past generations or do you live in the today and look toward the future of your country, and the world? I think too many people hold against the US past transgressions that should be long forgotten.

No it doesn't, you're missing the point, what you speak of was generations ago, your perception of transgressions now, are not transgressions in my opinion.

That and current transgressions that should not be ignored... Its only logical that ppl remember what happened in the past, it´s nature...If i hit you in the face today and offer you an icecream tomorrow does that make us friends?
