I have only been on mylot for about 2 months and haven't really spent more time in responding and starting my own discussions. I was just wondering how many responses or rather what is the minimum number of responses does any discussion have to get to be considered interesting?

we are in the same condition, I just heard that if you had 500 posts, than you can copy and paste documents on mylot, at that time it seems that things could be easy to do. for your question, I really don't know how many responses have to, but I think that is no limit.

so i am not alone on this. guess, we just have to keep on starting new discussions and just observe how our fellow mylotters here respond to these discussions. but it is good if there is no limit, happy mylotting......appreciate the response.

The quality as well as the number of responses are equal important in mylot. If you are reaching 100 posting you will get your first star rating. Like that every 100th posting your star color and rate increases. On reaching 500 posting you get the privilege of copy/paste.So number of posting is important.Same time you should maintain the quality og posting also. You should not write one word or two word posting. A posting should have multiple and complex sentences. This will give good result.

In my experience i got interested in day by day. When i look at my number of post, i have that eagerness to post more in discussions. I think this is one of the reason that decides my existence here. When getting number of responses for our discussion too

I would consider a discussion interesting if it attracts varied responses, not just the same kind of responses from its viewers. Each response should add value to the person starting the discussion, that would be interesting to me.

i don't think the number of response decide the interesting of discussion.if you get your best response, then your discussion is very intersting, not to attract the number of the responses but to get your answer for your discussion.best for your time in mylot.

I would not go into the number of responses. Maybe into the auality of responses. There are a lot of discussions with multiple responses but no real discussion is in them. This means each person comes in, responds, then goes out. I think this acts like a comment box more than a discussion. I think interesting discussion are those comprised of debatable issues and issue where a lot of people are interested in. This can vary depending on the interest you are posting in. You can always fins a discussion that will trigger a lot of responses if you try.
