Is USA an ultimate destination for higher education.. ?

Just came back from airport after leaving my close friend who is going to pursue higher studies (MS in computer science ) in chicago IIT . Many thoughts where going on in my mind about the quality of education in USA and how much better it is than Indian institutes . Is all the money spend ( amount he said was whooping 28 lakhs Indian Rupees )worth ? Education quality in USA is far better than Indian which i absolutely agree upon, but with globalization world has converted into a Web with everyone having every information and every technology updated right in his home. So why not stay in the home country and work for the world. The facility and infrastructure is always given a reason by many. But i would say " Where there is a will there is a way " and if you got what it takes to be, then you are.After all every nation strives to be a developed nation with economy booming. Unless people realize the importance of developing his own nation and its infrastructure, America would be a very crowded place in the future . :)
