Today I had the weirdest and most shocking experience of my life.
Although I have a little business that runs,I would always browse the internet for extra money making opportunity. Until I found an advertisement looking for writers and it was online basis. I grab my mouse to click on to my file and send my resume to the address posted. Given my experience,I am very much confident to apply,or to accept the job.
Surprisingly,I got a call from a guy with a british accent telling me that I have a schedule for interview regarding my application. So I double checked my file and review which one is,and what position did I apply for, just to be sure I am getting the right message. So,the next day I went to my appointment and arrive 50 minutes early.I had prepared my mind for several topics, did some update on current events so that I am fully geared for the writing battle.
Another surprise, when I arrived there, they asked me to register my name on the piece of paper provided at the registration table.I looked around and saw different faces of different ages all dressed up formaly. This is weird,I noticed a lady who was filling up a form, she seems shocked so I approach her and ask her what position is she applying for,it is not the same as mine. Then we waited until the interview.
After the short interview we were asked to sit on the chairs in front of a projector.Everybody in the room seems so surprised too,and everyone was asking for the job position each one is applying for.
A facilitator started talking and it was a product orientation.I walked out of the crowd and felt I was fooled. And each one who went there was so pissed off because they were professional and they went there for a specific position, and not to sell that certain product.
So it was the most shocking moment of my life so far.
Have you experienced similar to this? What do you think about these kinds of people who lie to people just to make their business grow?

This happens a lot here. I haven't heard of quite such a deceptive angle, but they will invite people to a "special" lunch or dinner, serve really good food and then present their product. Usually they prey on old people that they can steal retirement funds from, or wipe out their life's savings.
The job interview angle is new to me. Thanks for the warning, I'll be on the lookout for it. Please report it to your local fraud agency if you have one, that it outright fraud and deception and they are most likely breaking or at least bending some laws.

Thank you for responding.I will see if there is a local authority for these kinds of deceitful scheme.
And you know what, they also taught people to say "I'm on vacation" if they don't have a job. So I really walked out, because I'm not on vacation and I felt really stupid wasting my time. It's kinda funny just to picture it on my mind, but it is so degrading to most professionals who also came.
