I really need your help. What's the best way to get rid of these ugly stretchmarks!?! I'm pregnant for the first time and these marks are the only things I'm not happy about during this pregnancy!..Hope someone can help me out!.. They're really ugly and they're slowly popping out in my tummy. I tried putting vitamin E gel before I sleep but it's not working. Really appreciate some tips from you. =)

Well maybe your getting so much weight due to your pregnancy or you keep on scratching that's why you have stretch mark. If putting so much weight is the reason then you should watch your diet and just monitor your weight to keep it within a healthy range. You have to discipline yourself to control your the type of food you are taking in. I understand that pregnancy will really increase your appetite but that does not mean you are free to indulge in any food you want and crave for. Watch the food you eat. Make sure they are really nutritious. You are not eating just of yourself but for your little one as well so for his/her sake, eat nutritious and healthy food only. Just make sure you get enough calcium, protein, whole grains, fruits and veggies. Avoid too much calories, too much fats, too much salt and too much sweet because they are responsible to sudden weight that cause you skin to get stretched. Avoid scratching the itchy area of your tummy. Yes I understand that there are times it really itch but you can just use a soft brush on it or a soft cloth to relieve the itch instead of using your nails that really cause unsightly marks. Pregnancy is a very tough time but never neglect your skin. Use good moisturizers to keep your tummy supple. Many stretch marks creams are not effective though they are very expensive. I have not really known one that is very effective. So I believe it is better to just prevent the stretch marks instead of curing them. When you have already acquired, then just avoid acquiring more. I hope all the best for you and your baby. Cheers!

I am expecting my first baby end of this month. So far, there is no stretch marks. I use this Palmer's Cocoa Butter cream. Maybe you can give it a try? I also heard that Bio Oil is quite good. But you really need to watch out your diet if it is caused by the weight you gain. All the best to you! :)

gee, i can emphatize w/ you. i was really upset when i saw those stripes on my tummy when i was pregnant. to think that i tried very hard not to scratch my pregnant belly no matter how itchy it felt. there are skin types that are really prone to stretch marks. lucky are the ones whose skin is not prone to these unwanted white stripes. palmer's cocoa butter lotion or cream are said to be very effective. you can start applying it to your tummy even if you're still pregnant. olive oil can also help. good luck on your 1st pregnancy.

Actually, we have the same experience. The stretchmarks I have right kept on popping out even though I tried to control myself from scratching them. Thanks for the tip. Hopefully, it will also work for me.

Hello, I am 8 months pregnant and so far what I have been using is working for me. I have no stretch marks and my stomach is fairly big. I recommend that you use Vitamin E Natural Ointment by Basic Organics. I have only been able to find it on Amazon for about $5.99 for a 2 OZ jar. Anyway I hope this helps you out.

I wish I've got something to share with you on how to avoid this. Those who had the same experience can better help you with that but in my case, I'd just say that those stretch marks are marks of courage, life and love. That makes you even more beautiful as a woman.
