I decided to make a discussion and ask all you mylotters out there a few questions, Have you ever shoplifted? If so,what did you shoplift? What store did you shoplift from? Why did you shoplift? How old were you?How many times did you shoplift?Did you ever get caught? If you got caught what punishment did you get if any?If not, have you ever wanted to shop lift?I will be honest and say that I have shoplifted before and it was a rather stupid thing to do,what was even stupider was what I shoplifted because I shoplifted Yugioh cards, and I shoplifted them from two different Wal Marts in two different counties, and a Kmart in a different county and I shoplifted them because I wanted them and also because one of my old friends pressured me into it telling me we would not get caught,I was seventeen at the time and I shoplifted at least twice maybe more from each of the stores, and I got pretty good at if you ask me,and my friend was pretty good at it too,and I did get caught apparently the manager of the Wal Mart in the other county had been watching us and I was on my last shoplifting trip,I was getting the last cards I wanted and then I was going to quit and never shoplift again, when we were on our way out,we got stopped and searched and we were taken to the security room to wait, where we had to call our parents and tell them what we did,I got caught with over one hundred dollars worth of Yugioh cards on me and I admitted I did it,my friend was caught with a tobagon and a watch and he tried to lie up and down swearing that he had not taken anything, and the kept telling him they had him on tape shoplifting, after that me and him stopped being friends since apparently he was my partner in crime and a bad person to follow,I do not know what his punishment was,but since it was my first offense I got fifty hours of community service, and I did those, and this taught me a big lesson never take anything because it is not right, and I know I deserved my punishment and I was happier when I finished my community service,I later saw in the paper that my ex friend got arrested for shoplifting so apparently he did not learn his lesson and that is his problem, and to all of those who are thinking about shoplifting do not do it because it is not worth it and though you may not get caught the first time you will get caught in the end,I will appreciate all responses I get,and please I ask that you take this discussion seriously,as with all my other discussions, and give me honest truthful answers, and I will comment back to every response on this discussion, and the more quality the responses have the more I will comment back, have a great day.

I have never shoplifted myself but instead have let my friends do it for me. My friend shoplifted from the same wal*mart that you had, and I was 19 wherein she was 18. I am glad that you have learned from your lesson and that you know better then to do it again.

I am glad to hear that you have never shoplifted, and that is cool that you got your friend do it from the same Wal Mart that I shoplifted from,I have indeed learned my lesson and I definitely know better than to ever do it again, and hopefully when we have kids and I tell them what I did,it will help them learn that it is wrong,so that way they will never be in the same boat I was,I love you with all my heart and soul, thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck with mylot, and Happy Posting Baby.

I have never shoplifted. I must admit that sometimes when I'm at a store and can't afford something I like, I wish I don't care if I shoplift or not. But I do and I don't think I will ever do it. I will disappoint a lot of people, my family, my friends and especially myself if that ever happens.
I think it was good that you got caught at that time. I know you said that would have been your last time but do you think if you didn't get caught, you would have gone for another "last" shoplifting try? But you got caught and you paid for it through community service and you learned your lesson. So that is good.
Thanks for sharing with us this personal experience as a reminder and a lesson for us all.

I am glad that you have never shoplifted and I think everyone thinks about it at least once, and I know what you mean about how it would disappoint a lot of people if you did it,and I agree I think it was good I got caught, even though when I said it was going to be my last attempt I meant it,because I did not want to do it anymore, and I am glad I did my community service and learned my lesson, and I hope that my experience helps people not make the same mistake I did, thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting my friend.

Yeah I am sure some people will see this and think this could never happen to them but the sad thing is it could and probably would happen to them, and hopefully at least some of them will keep in mind the fact that they could get caught and realize that it is not even worth attempting it,thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting my friend.

If other people read this, some of them would probably think that it is not going to happen to them but if they do shoplift then there is that possibility that they may get caught, that it could happen to them too. Happy myLotting too!

It was a good thing that you came to your senses right on time than be fully influenced by your friend then. You are indeed wise.
I have not shoplifted before as I am too embarrassed to be caught red handed. But I did do something naughty when I was a teenager. I used to change the price tags - (cheaper ones) on certain items and paid less for themI guessed I was indeed cheating and I felt it wasn't fair the items were so expensive compared to its value. I was indeed lucky never been caught before though
I don't do that anymore and I purchase on what that I think I could afford to buy. With that I could spend less money and save for something more deserving the next time.
Cheers and happy posting.

I agree it is a very good thing that I came to my senses when I did or I might have gone on to do it again and get arrested like he did,and thank you for your kind words ,I am glad to hear that you have never shoplifted, and I think it is a good thing that you would be to embarrassed to get caught red handed, and that is pretty naughty that you used to change the price tags on certain items so that you could pay less for them,I think in a way you were cheating, but it is not fair that some products are more expensive than they should be,and I am glad that you never got caught, and I am relieved that you do not do that anymore, and it is a good idea to purchase what you think you can afford to buy,so you can save money for something more deserving, thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

Never shoplifted and never will.
I admit it is a tempting and bold idea to try.
But not worth getting a police record for.
It brings shame to your parents who raised you and they don't deserve that if they provide you the things you need.
It shows your lack of self control, discipline , integrity and lack of self worth.
The kind of people you associate with sometimes is a factor in who or what you become.
Sorry if i offended you in any way.

I am glad to hear that you have never shoplifted and never will, and I agree it is not worth getting a police record over, and I admit it probably did disappoint my parents but they were proud of me for taking my punishment and doing all those hours of community service, and it does so a lot of lacking traits, and I agree the people you associate with do influence who you will become, and thats why I do not associate with anyone who could get me into any kind of trouble, you have not offended me in any way, thank you for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

I have never shoplifted, and the thought of doing so has never crossed my mind. My parents told me once when I was little, if they ever caught me shoplifting they would cut off one of my fingers. I'm sure they told me that to scare me and it really worked! I worked for Wal-Mart a few years ago in the garden center. I had 3 guys try to shoplift 2 computers, a tv, dvd player, cd's, dvd's and stereo system. They each had a cart loaded down with the stuff. There was a 4th person waiting to drive away. I stopped them at the door. Finally one of our cart pushers came through my department. I still had the door blocked. Our cart pusher saw what was going on. I briefed it to him and he called security. I watched the 3 guys being taken away by our security, and then arrested. I got a raise for doing the right thing. You are rewarded when you do the right things...and shoplifting isn't one of them! God bless my friend!

I am glad to hear that you have never shoplifted and that the thought has never crossed your mind, and that sounds like a very good scare tactic to keep you from shoplifting,I am sorry to hear that you worked for Wal Mart and that those guys tried to shoplift that stuff,I am glad that you did the right thing, and that you got a raise for it,and I agree you get rewarded when you do the right thing, and I agree shoplifting is not one of the right things, and I learned my lesson so all though I did a bad thing,at least some good came out of it,thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting my friend.
