What do you want to be a patriot or a nationalist?..

I am a student in a university.. and i keep on wondering with what my teacher told us..she asked us if what we want to be.. and it is struggling in my mind in what should i be.. a patriot? or a nationalist?..pls..help me.. I want to know your opinions so that my mind will clearly understand what should i be in my country..Thanks in advance.. God bless you all..

Is there a difference between patriotism and nationalism. I am not sure what your teacher is asking, it sounds like your teacher is asking you to decided between one and uno. Patriotism denotes positive and supportive attitudes to one's nation, and nationism is just the political movements of patriotism. For me I am jingoistic, I find no vice in love for one's country.
