band or not to band????

morbidly obess......i thought someone calling me fat was bad,....so i have been investigating this lap band thing to control my weight and eating, but i have not found many people comminting on it, or maybe not saying what i want hem to say....i don't know........i would like to hear from some people who have had it done or who have thought of geting it done and decided not to and why? just o help me out in my decision making. i went to a class on the lap band and i have to admit my suprise, i was like the smallest person in the room, i was almost embarassed i had went, but shoot i ain't trying to get any bigger before this is not no longer a option but a have to do to save my life, so let me know what you know if you don't mind. and no fat jokes....lol
