It's really funny how Monk tries to deal with everyday struggles both at work and at home. Do you happen to be quite or very obsessive-compulsive like Monk? Do you happen to share the same things that he does? I'm a bit OC and I'm quite a germaphobe. I always have with me a rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer. But I think mine's mild and not as strong as Monk's. So how about you? Are you OC like Monk?

My husband & kids call me Mrs. Monk because I am a bit like him. I only drink Ozarka water & everything has to be in its place or I am really bothered by it. If I see someone whose tag is sticking out of their shirt, it's all I can do to not put it back in. My husband will read the newspaper & not fold it properly - I will fold it neatly & then put it in the recycling box! I'll never see it again but I'll know that it's not neatly folded. I won't even let my kids make their beds all by themselves because they won't do it right. And if my husband makes our bed....forget it - I'll have to do it again. I do have hand sanitizer with me but don't require it when I meet someone new & shake their hand. Yes, Monk is a strange but wonderful character. It's a blessing...and a curse.

Wow, that is true! It's both a blessing and a curse. Never thought about it that way. It's a blessing because we get to keep ourselves a more safer from germs or get things fixed and in place but a curse as well because we just can't be still and do nothing about them.:)

I'm not but I'm starting to wonder a bit about my daughter. We call her "baby Monk" because she not only won't eat her food if it's touching, she has to have a separate fork or spoon for everything on her plate. And, I'm not making this up, the other day, she was walking through the kitchen touching everything she walked past.

Yeah it is very entertaining watching Monk and seeing how he deals with everything that happens to him,and I have to say that I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder just like monk, and it bothers me if things are not where they are supposed to be,and even if they are moved the slightest bit I have to move them back,I do not think I am as bad as Monk, however,I have sometimes wondered if when I get to Monks age if I will be that bad.

That is so true with me too, the moving of things and such. I always get annoyed when people in the house move my things even one bit. I always think to myself: "That thing's been placed there for a reason, so don't anyone move it!" :P
