Does any one know that how long will it take my parrot to learn to talk?

He is a white bellied caiquue and i hv just adapted him.He is only 6 months old.can any1 tell me sum helpful info as this is my first parrot?

we've had a parakeet and cockatiel. when you train them to talk you just repeat your line over and over for about 10 minutes a day. then depends on the bird when they will say it on their own. but keep in mind they learn things on their own too. they can pick up something ir they hear you say it a lot.

Thanx fr the hepl.can u help me out with some other qusetions too
1.Is news paper ok for the bird to poop on??just thinking abt that if he eats it..
2.Is it ok to wash his toys in detergent,baking soda??
3.Wing clipping -should i do it myself??
4.how to trim his nails??

we often used newspapers with no problem. if you want to trim the wings there are good instructions online. and nail clipping if you want to do it, you'll need a second person to hold your parrot. you may know NOT TO USE sandpaper. but clippers and a diamond file. there are instructions online for that as well. i don't think that my mother ever did it. enjoy your parrot. squawk!

for cleaning detergent is fine. you can even put the toys & dishes in the dishwasher.

I think you need to get specialized trainer-otherwise, without training am not seeing your parrot talking soon enough!
