Are you a couch potato?

There are people who are called couch potatoes because they spend almost all of the time sitting in front of the TV. They're inactive, they just want to watch TV all day. That's laziness, right? How about a person who spends all of his time in front of the computer, not noticing that he's already slouching like an 80-year old man (LOL)? Also a couch potato, right? I know a person who's like that and I think I can't do what he does because it's a headache and backache if I do it. I just use the computer early in the morning before I go to work and when I go home or after work. Of course, on weekends I have ample time using my computer but not all the time of the day. Are you a couch potato, or do you know someone who's like that?

That's great, having time for all good works. I hope I can be like that. I like to do cross stitching just like before, but I couldn't anymore because of work. Happy mylotting

Thank you for the response. It's good that you have breaks, you could at least take your snack and stretch. Happy mylotting...

I am somewhat of a couch potato because I am a writer and we have to spend a lot of time in front of the computer and with the email just keeping up on things to write about. I play the T.V. as background noise, but I usually only watch it when I eat. Although occasionally I get sucked into things like the Olympics. You make a good point though. There's life beyond our computer and inspiration too. Tomorrow I'm going out all day to three different things. I'm going to get my chair fixed, go to the museum to write about that, and meet an author. I really need to make more plans outside my house, but with the public transit fairs riding, it's easier to just stay home and post all day. How sad is that?

Though I love to watch on TV I am definitely not a couch potato. I easily get bored or fall asleep if I stay inactive for too long. Maybe if I become a couch potato I will run out of sleep in the evening. he he he. There are people who can do this and there are those who can't. Take care =)

I am a couch potato and I do spend a lot of time hunkered in front of the computer. Is it laziness? I don't think so because it's part of my work. Sure, I know several people who may be considered as couch potatoes but well they have their own reasons for being such.
