i love mylot & i don't want to leave!!!!

Since joining myLot I've seen numerous I HATE MYLOT discussions. I always looked & read each & ever discussion as I like being well informed. Some made absolutely NO sense....others I read intently. Yesterday I saw one where a member was leaving because myLot had taken 40¢ from his account just so he couldn't make payout. In thinking...that made NO sense as he'd make the 40¢the very next day & how much interest would they earn on 40¢ or even the $10. It did make me think so I looked at my breakdown for my payout. When mine updated this morning & looked lo & behold they had made an adjustment...they had increased my payout by 10¢. THANK YOU MYLOT!!! Since everybody doesn't mind raising sand when things don't go their way, I just wanted to say THANK YOU when it did. As I think I have said every day since joining, I love ALL my friends here & I am soooo glad I joined myLot. Oh, by the way, I DO NOT PLAN ON LEAVING ANY TIME SOON!!! Let's see if this gets as much press as the I hate myLot discussions get...tell ALL your friends to put in their two cents worth!!!

I think that many people come her for the money, but then stay because of the people that they meet here. I certainly do. For those that are interested in such things you will always make payout of you contribute good discussions and better responses. However, for me, this has become a part of my life. My friends here are "real" to me, even though in all cases bar one I have never met them, and I have received consistently good advice and support from them both on and off line. There does come a time when myLot palls for many of us. But a day or two away and you start to twitch until you say "bugger it. I'll just take a peek". I don't say no to the money, but if they were to stop paying altogether it would not change my attitude to the site - unless all my friends did a mass exodus. Then I would think that maybe it was time I took a shower!! LOL.

You said that sooo elloquently. Anybody that would give up ALL this fun over 40¢ has to have a screw loose. I'd pay $10/month for the pleasure of ALL this fun!!! That's less than a candy bar a day will cost you & most of us has no qualms stopping at the convenience store for a treat.

I owe you an apology kcbabez. I read your first 3 words & reacted. Rereading this morning & listening to it all, I am sad to say you are completely RIGHT!!! Too many think there is NO way this is my fault as I could not have possibly made a mistake. Then the don't try & found out why it happened as they might have to face the fact they DID indeed make a mistake. Fact is NOBODY's PERFECT!!!

Hi, yes, points go up and down all the time. I don't really pay attention to it any more! It's best to avoid the posts that you know are going to get deleted, although I can't resist getting involved sometimes! I had to get involved in the one that you're describing, for instance. And also when somebody is new and one of their first (and maybe only) 'discussions' is a referral link or some other blatant advert, I can't resist telling them that their post is bound to be deleted and that they should read the rules - even though I know that my earnings will probably go down a bit too! It's just so hard for me to stay out of these discussions, lol!
I'm glad that you've decided not to leave, and that you're going to stick around! And it's nice that you got an extra 10c.
(By the way, how did you do the funny 'c' with the line down it for cents? I don't have a key like that. Is that standard on American keyboards?)

As I said before, I NEVER pay attention to my payout. I'm here for the fun. When it becomes no fun, then I might leave. However, I cannot imagine that day coming anytime soon!!!
the ¢ is the symbol for the US cent. Don't know about your ketboard but on mine it is made by holding down the "ALT" key & typing "0162" on the number keypad. When I release the "ALT" key the symbol fills in. It may not be on your keyboard as I'm not familiar with the keyboards in the UK.

I think the pay goes up and down depends on if you have answered a disscussion that gets deleted. Then they take away from you. I do not like those discussion of I ate mylot either and think if they do not want to be here they should just leave.3 people like this

YES, why can't they just bow out quietly. I can see sending a PM to their closests friends saying I'm leaving, it's been nice knowing you. But to go out screaming is a total waste of time IMO.

I with you on that, I have not been on Mylot for long but in the weeks that I;ve here I ave lost two stars and los few number on my posting number and lost a few cents but I'm still here and enjoying myself for all my friends here have given fun and a lot of laughter and advice. I love it here and I will never leave so people who left, they have missed out on a lot of good things about Mylot.

Please don't take offense when I suggest you read the Rules, Guidelines & FAQs. I've been going back & reading them at least once a week to remind me of what I need to do to maximize my time here at myLot. It is making such a difference!!!

Lady Marissa There are not to many people that take the stand you do.. I for one appreciate it. I don't like to trash and sully my own playground. Like any community and family we have our problems but all in all this is a wonderful place to come de-stress and relax with good friends.

Thank you. I really do love myLot & do NOT understand the whiners. Even though I cannot imagine becoming dissatisfied here; if I do, I will send quiet PMs to my friends sayin goodbye...NOT the whining & yelling on my way out. I have made soooo many good friends here, I cannot imagine losing them over less than a dollar. All communities have their problems, but this is the BEST one!!!

I certainly agree with you. I mean, so far, with my stay here, mylot has been updating my earnings and have not once taken money from my account. Am not sure if it did happen to them, I was able to qualify for a payout and it was happy, and of course mylot did not take money from my account just so I wont be able to qualify for the pay out. Am not sure if those posts are really true or they are just trying to post something that other mylotters would read and respond to, but like what you said what they are claiming makes no sense at all, better not mind them and let’s continue staying here and be thankful with the friendship that we have gained through this site. Earning here is not easy, but then again, everything is not about the money. The cents we make is incomparable to the learnings we get and the friendships that we have gained. So kudos to mylot and happy mylotting to those who are staying, and to those who are saying bad things against this site, you can keep those unsolicited comments to your self. You can look for another site if you want.

I love mylot as well. I am a fan of this site from the start. Though there have been several changes compared to their system before, I still look up to the admin for having been so skillful and innovative to improve the site's performance, etc.

I came in after the changes so this is the ONLY myLot I have ever known. I hope they give me plenty of time to learn this one before they upgrade again. (laffin loudly)

I have noticed when someone brings it to attention how at times the money does go up and or down a few cents. All I can say is if anyone is here on this site to make a living this is the wrong place to be. I am here for something to so and to meet nice people, I would even be here if there was no money to be made.

I agree with you 100%!!! I was just soooo tired of seeing the I HATE myLot discussions I just want to put a positive spin on it. I NEVER check my daily payout but I did look yesterday after reading the post. It was strictly coincidence that a change had occurred. I am here purely for the chat & friendship & I find the payout to be a minute part of the experience. Please don't take this discussion in the wrong way. I DO LOVE MYLOT & EVERY FRIEND I'VE MADE!!!

I like mylot, too, so there! 
Sometimes my earnings go down or up or whatever but I don't worry too much about it since I'm not watching every dime I earn and I try to reach payout as early in the month as possible.

Of course I don't mind that a bit. lol I do watch my account amount each day but not so much for how much I'm making but to see how well I've posted the day before.

Housework??? What is housework??? (ROFLMAO) You are correct, that is the ONLY drawback to myLot. I spend ALL day sittin in front of my computer petrified that I'll miss something!!! I have fallen deeply in love with most of my new friends & just don't want to miss even a second of their lives. If I leave even for just a lil bit, I find it hard to catch up when I get back. So I never like to even step away. When I did the famiily thing on Sunday, I was going through DTs by the time I got home. Sad....I know. But it seems a lot here understand what I'm going through

Same here. Even though my first account was deleted for the reason i dunno, here i am still a member. I created a new one. What I like here is I am being paid for what I love doing. Not all are given that kind of chance.

For me, myLot is a little window into the world that is not filled with horror, drama, and despair that seems to be the main fodder of the various media outlets. And, yes, there are times and people who bring into this myLot world some ... strange ... topics. Not to mention the periodic "whine". But that is very much offset by the common sense, fun, laughter, information, and just plain sharing that is available here.
A penny here. A penny there. Who cares? And if you do care ... perhaps a priority re-check would be something to consider. Also a re-reading of the myLot guidlines as well as the "discussions" myLot admin periodically posts.
P.S. You got good press on this one, Lady M. You made the myLot digest. Congrats!

Too ny people are here for the money...and to be completely honset, that isn't worth it. This site isn't designed to replace anybody's income. Im here for another reason, and many are too, I'm here for the interaction and comraderee we recieve. I'm here to be part of something that is bigger than me...to branch out and become a better person...to spread the love I have inside with people I would otherwise not have the blessing of knowing...to get answers to deep questions...and light ones as well.
For those who are here for similar reasons as I am, this place can be a life line...we love it!! For those who are just here for the money, and get ticked off when they don't recieve what they think they are worth...bug off!!

no , i do not hate my lot. it is an interesting blend of friends,buddies as well as of money making. it gives you all in one. i simply love my lot. but i am yet to know how they pay you on your responses. can you shed some light over it?

You have been here much longer than I have pk. I don't care how they pay. Read the Rules...I think one of the rules is Do NOT try & figure it out. I just enjoy chatting with some WONDERFUL people & let the money take care of itself!!! As I've said a thousand times, I'm NOT here for the money

Hi there Marissa! I love it here as well. I have not been here very long, but i get a little tired of folks crying that they dont like it here.. Umm then go ahead and leave. Who is stopping ya?? I have no plans of leaving anytime soon! And I am no where near payout! I have set my payout to the $100.00 mark, knowing that I will not reach that for several months!
