Now I'm really confused!

I've only recently joined myLot and I've also joined quite a few ptr/ptc sites in the hope of making some kind of steady income.I've also been reading lots of discussions on the subject, scams, how time consuming it is,(that's for sure!)etc,I'm very confused. Is it really possible to make any sensible money at this? At present I don't have anyone to refer.I find many sites take forever to load, longer than the countdown.
How many sites is it practical to join?I use Firefox and my friend suggested working 2 sites at the same time, using their tabs.I could do more but I don't think I'd manage that yet. Also, does anyone know any genuine free survey sites? I see a lot of sites asking you for money to join them,I don't trust this idea, not only that,I'm broke!
Any advice would be welcome, the simpler the better, also, my old computer runs on coal and water, when it' not crashing on me!Thanks myLotters

Triond is a great source of income for freelance writers.
It takes some time to get used to but, between Triond, Helium, and Associated Content, Triond will pay you the most.
I use this as income while I'm going to school. Check it out!

My idea for making money on the net is to get a little coming in from several directions. Set an amount you are willing to invest to get start. Set it low. I don't go over $20 to join and get set up. These may not pay you much but they will pay you a little. Don't make the same mistake I and 120,000 others just did. I invested $1,100 in ASD and just learned yesterday I have now lost it. If any of you are members of ASD and haven't heard yet they were shut down yesterday.
Just be careful and check things out as best as you can before you spend any money on the net. Watch about getting into something that takes too much time.

A Little PS:
Besides working some things on the net I also recover Gold from scrap electronic parts. I also collect scrap copper and aluminum. The truth is if I put the time I spend on the internet into these other hobbies I would make a lot more money.

Besides Mylot, my only other online revenue comes from writing. I write articles for a few different sites. It is possible to make decent money doing this if you stay focused and find the right places for your work...my mother is a prime example, she makes hundreds a month...I am not. To be honest I make pennies, but I know that is my own doing.

Lots of good advice here, I have been reading that writing reviews can pay fairly well. Also submitting blogs to one or more of the blog paid sites might suit you too. I hope you find what you are looking for Rose, I think you could write, your english is very good, go for it!

I am using sharedreviews.com It takes quite a bit of work but I like it. You review products and then you vote on other peoples reviews. You have to be prepared to write a lot of reviews in different categories, they have to be original reviews found no where else (they can not be used anywhere else), and get to know people in the forums so they will vote for you. I have made anywhere from 50 to 80 dollars a month. A lot of work but its fairly easy.
