I have a slightly worn but still comfortable 3 Piece suite of furniture that takes up too much space in my small Living room..I've advertised it on one of the "Freecycle" websites with a hope that someone would want it,and save me having to pay the local council to haul it away to a landfill!I check for updates on a daily bsis, and the site tells Me how many visitors have checked it out,but I'm not sure if my own visits count! Have You Used Freecycle sites? Have You had success disposing of your unwanted stuff? Would You recommend the Concept?
Thoughts,Ideas,and comments Welcome!

I've never used it but thats because I have only recently heard about it - I think it's a great idea and I guess though it just depends on if somebody is looking for that item at the time you have it on!
Good luck! x

I think freecycle is an awesome concept! I was introduced to it some months ago and the way they do it here, through Yahoo, is they send you an email everytime someone put up a new post. Recently a person was frustrated become no one picked up these computer ink cartriges and audio book so I emailed her an told her I would be happy to take them. I love audio books and even if I can't use the inks I can sure pass them on! The audio was if mint condition! Anyone who is not using Freecycle is just throwing away what others can use!

I tried getting to the site on Yahoo first, but got an error message saying the local group wasn't there anymore!? This suite must be over 10 years old, anyway, but still..

I still haven't tried this out yet. Up until now I just give all are stuff to goodwill or the VA but maybe next time I got something big I'll use freecycle so I don't have to move it myself.
