If you know that your professor does not check your homework the next day you meet, would you still do your homework? In my case I would still do it because it will be for my benefit and not someone else. I would be just cheating on myself if I don't do it. So, if you are a student or if you are in this situation when you were sudying, what would you do?

Doing homework keep you focus on the subject so whether or not the professor look at it you will still benefit from doing it. Unless you are a A student and it doesn't matter to you then you can skip it and practice it at alater date.

I would proberly only do it if it wasnt too much hassle, if it involved me running around and stressing out, i would proberly not have the will power and just go out or something

Well - yes. I do my homework so I understand everything said in class the next day. Homework is how I study because I just remember what I did during it and I am able to apply that during tests. This is helpful because come the day before a test while the ones who didn't do it are stressing I am able to do whatever I please.

Yes. Homework is only an exercise to gain experience and knowledge. There will be a test sometime.

I would do it because it was assigned for me to do. It doesn't matter if he would check it or not. I would still benefit from it because I would be able to review our lesson and it is a good study habit.

I was faced with this decision many times when I was going to Michigan State. The majority of the time I would do my homework when it was supposed to be done because it helped me understand the material and also I did not get behind. There were a few times when I got caught up doing other things, or was busy with maybe some papers from another class so I didn't do the homework. It was nice to know I wasn't going to get in trouble for it, but it sucked because that just doubled my homework for the next week. I think doing something like this is ok if you absolutely need to do it but it should be avoided at all costs. Otherwise you will get VERY behind without even realizing it.

i like the idea of your question cause this back to your growing up and how your parent bring you up if they planet the honest and the activity in your life you won't need to a teacher you don't need to moderator in your work you don't need to any directions in your life cause you already know what you doing and this very important thing if you used to get someone behind you to keep you active i believe you won't be active for a long time cause one day you will lose this person and become alone with no motivated person and if you won't your own motivated in this time i bet you will lose a lot and never get the right direction after that and you won't ever make your homework with our without prof check up .

Of course, you just never know... he/she may check it at a later date. Plus you'll learn something if you do.

This is my most hated part on student-teacher agreeements. You tend to do your homework with no doubt and spend plus hours on it at home then comes the next day and you will just notice the class has ended and your professor did not even lifted a finger on your work. Haha, I feel really pissed when this happens but if there are valid reasons why did he/she not being able to checked it, I can manage.

If I knew he assignment was to my benefit I would deinitely do it but if it was just some stupid assignmen that was not helpful to me at all, and the professior wasn't een going o check i, hen I would pass on it. I will do wha will benefi me, not what a ontrolling peron tells me to do.

I would still do the homework because like you said it would benefit me to do the homework. If my professor asked any questions that dealt with what was learned then I could feel good about knowing the answers. Not to mention many times homework is a good way to study for upcoming tests or even pop quizzes.

Hi Muelitz, I am the type of student who will just work on my assignment even if I know he is not checking it! I want to learn and like you, I know the benefit of working the assignment is for me and not for the professor!
