your mother helped your husband acquired a loan fom the bank by lending him the necessary documents. After a year you found out that your husband did not pay the bank so to your mother's disappointment she sued your husband because her house used for collateral will be taken by the bank.Your husband insist that he will not pay the bank because he used the money for your family? Will you save your mother or your husband?

I can understand you dilemma. However, to me it would not be a question of saving a person, it would be to stand by my conscience. Both are equally dear to you and there is no way you can save one and let the other down. So ask yourself who you think is correct? If you feel that your husband has valid reasons to be unable to pay back, then you should take his side and explain the situation to the bank and request for time. If you feel that your mom is correct, then you husband is not correct by not repaying.
I actually did not understand the meaning of spending for the family. Whose family? Your husband’s? If so, then why its his responsibility entirely and your mom should not have been cheated of her money by your husband. If on the other hand it is your family, then also your husband should feel proud of being able to help his wife’s family. Talk to him, he does not come across as trying to understand your position too well.
