63 years ago a nuclear bomb destroied Hiroshima, and all the world could see what was the power of a nuclear wapon, did the world understand the lesson? I think NO, if still today they are so many wars and there's so much hate in this world!! We gone back to kill for a different God. Kille in name of God that should be the biggest expression of love. Tragic

The responsible leaders of the world did understand the lessons learned that day and that is why there is not a long list of other nuclear bombings. It's the unstable leaders of smaller countries who care nothing about the human race as a whole who are the danger, who will use that lesson to their advantage, and why they should not be allowed to develop any nuclear capabilities at all.

They may be able to get the know how but getting everything they need to build a nuclear bomb and creating one is next to impossible without the rest of the world knowing about it. That's the issue with Iran right now. Enriched uranium is a critical part of a nuclear bomb but it's also used in the reactors that power nuclear power plants. Iran insists that their plans to enrich uranium is strictly for power production but it can be just as easily used in a nuclear warhead and, since they have repeatedly threatened to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, the U.N. and Israel is against it.

It really is a shame that the world functions like it does under the premise of war for so many years. It never seems to come to an end. There are bomb threats and then the making of missiles. We try to get one country to stop with the making of these big bombs only for another country to start with the threat.
It seems like a long process for our country(United States) to keep friendly negotiations. Hiroshima was a horrific thing. I am only forty and can't remember it but learned of it in school. I can't believe that man does what he does sometimes.
