What Was Your Favorite TV Show When You Were A Kid?

I hate to say this, but I was a TV addict when I was a kid. Of course, we didn't have over four hundred channels, but we had enough so that I could watch some of my favorite shows. The best thing was Saturday mornings. I would be the first one up and I had the TV all to myself. In fact, it was so early in the morning that some of the channels weren't even broadcasting yet and maybe only one or two had shows. There used to be a show called "Davey and Goliath". This was a animated claymation I think. There was always a moral to every story. Maybe that's why I loved watching it. When I got older, there were some shows I loved to watch at night. "Love Boat" was one of my favorites, but I had gone on a cruise and it reminded me of all the good times we had.
Did you have a favorite show when you were a kid too?

My mum was rather strict with the TV hours, so we were allowed to watch only 1 hour per evening on schooldays; however on weekends, we were allowed to watch any programs provided we had completed our schoolwork.
My favourites were Scooby Doo, and Donald Duck (yup, even now, it's still Donald Duck). Don't know why, I just love that grumpy duck! And during Saturday evenings, there was Twilight Zone, and Hawaii 5-O. I can't remember the rest of them!

When I was younger I used to like to watch The Flintstones, Jetsons, Scooby Doo, Clarissa Explains It All, Doug and the various game shows on Nickelodeon. I loved watching older shows as well, but I think as far as cartoons go those as well as Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life. They were all very fun to watch as well as sometimes educational.
Have a wonderful day.

Well, there were lots of shows that I enjoyed watching, and wish I could still see sometimes. My favorite kids shows were Romper Room and Captain Kangaroo. Other shows I really enjoyed were Leave It To Beaver, Brady Bunch, Gilligans Island, Happy Days, and Bewitched. Then when Flinstones and Jetsons came along I was a big fan of these as well. I remember back before Cable as well when you could watch all of the channels go off the air, and then some of them come on the air as well. What a difference in time that was for sure.

Wow, we didn't get our first TV until 1961. Mom finally caved when she'd see us peering through a neighbors front door to watch theirs ...... mom never allowed us to go into anyones house ....... I was at least 11 or 12 by that time. Did you watch Gidgit as well? I finally got to see that show a few months ago.

Boy is this going to date me. But I liked Miami Vice. Don Johnson was nice to look at The music was terrific. For Saturday mornings, I liked re-runs of Land of the Lost. It was corny and fun at the same time.

hi wachit!
we didn't have a lot of channels too when i was young. we didn't have any cable connection. i think there was only 5 channels for us to choose from! i love a lot of television shows back then though. i was a tv addict. still a tv addict. ^__~ i loved carebears, i still do actually obviously by my username. ^__~ i used to loved the cartoon Flying House, the one that tells a lot of stories from the bible. and then there's Starbrite, i'm not sure if that's the correct title. and then there's a lot of Japanese metal heroes like Masked Rider Black, Bioman, Maskman and a lot more. ^__^;;

Hello wachit14.
There were many TV shows that I enjoyed watching. But in particular, I used to love to watch, on Sunday nights, "The Wonderful World of Disney." There would be all kinds of movies and things on it and I loved it. I come from a big family and we would all lay on the floor and watch the show on Sunday night after dinner.

My fondest memories are of me and my siblings watching TV. We spent Saturday mornings and afternoons watching cartoons like "Archie" and "Justice League".
In fact, months ago, my younger bro chanced on our nephew watching a video of Justice League. You know, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and friends versus Lex Luthor, Riddler and other baddies. My bro couldn't help mouth out loud lines like, "Meanwhile, back in the Hall of Justice ..."
Also, we loved watching the Japanese super robot shows like Voltes V and Daimos when they were aired in the 70s.
I also uesd to watch "Love Boat", "Three's Company", "Charlie's Angels", "Six Million Dollar Man" and "Bionic Woman". I eagerly watched the modern reworking of "Bionic Woman", but sad to say, it failed to meet expecttaions.
