Have you noticed that over the last 5 years or so the number of reality shows in all the TV channels have outnumbered all other programs including the big fat family soap operas ? Have you ever wondered what could be the reason behind it ? Is it only the sheer excitement or the money that has driven the people from every corner crazy ? What is your views on this ?

Well.. personally I don't like reality shows. It seems not real for me, But I can understand why people like to see the show or get involved into the show. Money is the main reason why people sometmes just want to humiliate themselves and give the show a shot. some just enjoys it, something hat they cannot see in everyday life. the others, maybe they just curious what's going to be happened if reality is just like what you see in reality show...

These shows are very cheaply produced. No stars' enormous salaries have to be paid and, for the most part, sets and such are very simple, therefore they don't cost much.
I don't know why they call these things reality shows. Most of them are scripted, so it's more of amateur acting! How many people do these thing in reality? no one I know. They're sometimes interesting, but mos of them are ridiculous. If you noticed, they blossomed way beyond anything we'd seen before during the writers' strike, when the usual programs were stopped.
The people who participate in most of them get a lot more money than they've ever had, so it's not that hard to see why they do it. Most people would do almost anything if there's enough money in it.
