Danieal Kelly was a 14 year old disabled girl who not only was in the "care" of her "mother" but supposedly under the "care of protective Services of the Division of Human Services" and also a private agency--"MultiEthnic Behavioral Health". If ever there was a story that deserved undivided attention, this is it! If your heart doesn't break at the injustice of it all...I don't know, I just don't know :-( Kamuvaka, a woman, 1 of 4 owner/directors of MultiEthnic Behavioral Health is also a teacher...WHAT? Check it out myLotters...something has got to be done to make agencies like DYFS, DHS, MEBA, etc. more accountable. How can we better screen future Social Workers so as to be literally certain that the individual will be an assett to the children and families they have committed themselves to serving? I am outraged by this story! ~G~
