I remember having played it long ago when I was about 17 years old. I remember my friend and I had visited a club where we were struggling with the stick and the position of our hands when one person started scolding us for wasting our parents' money. He then taught us the correct position of the palm with the fingers making a mountain-shape and the correct lodging of the cue stick. I am very thankful to that man for teaching us how to play. We used to play regularly but it's been long since then and I miss it. What about you'll, have you played pool? Tell me about your first experiences.

I have, and actually own a pool table in my apartment. I am a pretty good player, and often bet against people that I can't do trick shots, and then amaze people as I take their money. :). I am really good at trick shots, but I also am really good at the normal game, as I always have friends over to play pool tournaments. I really like the game and could not go without it.

Hey, that's great! You really can do a trick-shot? I thought it can be done only by professionals like the pool legends you see on TV.

hello .. I played pool or billiard once like you when I was in a billiard place near the local cinema in my country with relatives when I was about 16 if I remember right. I don't remember if I was good or anything, just that I was getting out of there with a will to come back again and again but that was the only time I played real poll .. but I am playing online sometime and I am improving from time to time.

Even I have stopped playing outside. I guess, many of the outlets have now shut down due to lack of interest. In those days, pool was a craze among the students and was considered a very 'in' thing to go to such parlours, but now the trends' changed.

My first experience with playing pool was in college. My now husband and I were dating and it was a cheap way to spend time together in the student center on campus. He taught me everything I know - about pool and many other wonderful things in life. That's why I married him.
I had been around pool tables before college of course, but never spent anytime really trying to learn about it before then.

yeah, pool can be played in a number of ways. One is a 9-ball pool where each ball has a number to it and should be pocketed in the sequence. The other (easier one) is the striped and solid balls which alternate between the opponents. Yes, everybody errs at the first try, practice maketh the man perfect.
