yes, you're talking about 2 completely different instruments. the BASS and the drums are the backbone to any song......they keep the beat and the rhythm of the song. you could say they are the meat and potatoes of the song. then you have your vocals, your rhythm guitars, and sometimes your keyboards or other instruments. these are the rest of the elements of a song. then you have the lead guitar.....this is the dessert.....the icing on the cake. by the way.......bass ROCKS!!! did i mention i'm a bass player too???

Gotta be bass, makes a much better noise. and fender is my choice of make for bass or electric guitar

That is like comparing apples to oranges...they are 2 totally different instruments. I play bass now, I used to play guitar. Personally, I enjoy playing bass more, but I don't think one is better than the other. In my band, we need both or we wouldn't sound good.

Go for the guitar, I suggest a Gibson SG. I have an SG and love it!
