Latley my two year old has been crawling in bed with us. We have to fight him to go back to his own bed. He shares his room with his 1 year old sister and she is never disturbed. So we thought maybe he was afraid of the dark. So we gave him daddys flashlight well that's not working. What do you think is his problem and how can we solve the problem?

Do you put a night light in the room for them? Why don't you ask him why he doesn't like sleeping in his bed. If he says hes scared ask him of what. If he says monsters or something then tell him that before he goes to bed, both of you will go on a monster hunt to make sure there are none in his room. Tell him he wont get any sleep with you guys because daddy snores and mommy rolls around a lot. Let him know he will be more comfortable in his own room. Some kids just wont sleep by themselves. Remember he is still young. My friends 3 year old still sleeps in the bed with them. He refuses to sleep in his own room. Instead of constantly fighting with him, both of them want some sleep so they just let him sleep with them. There's nothing wrong with that. One day he'll decide he wants to be a big boy and sleep in his own bed.

it's not that i have a problem with him sleeping with us. It's the fact that i don't get any sleep with him in our bed, because he constantlly moves and kicks. Were going to invest in a night light but he has never said that she was scared.

I HAVE BEEN HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 2 YEAR OLD FOR THE PAST MONTH - AFTER WE WENT TO THE BEACH AND HE SLEPT IN A "BIG" BED, HE DECIDED HE WAS NOT SLEEPING IN HIS CRIB ANYMORE. EVEN WITH GETTING HIM A NEW BED, HE WILL NOT GO TO SLEEP IN HIS ROOM BY HIMSELF AT ALL. IF WE FALL ASLEEP IN THERE WITH HIM, HE STILL WAKES UP AROUND 2 HOURS LATER SCREAMING HIS HEAD OFF AND COMES TO GET IN THE BED WITH US. THIS CHILD USE TO GO TO SLEEP ON HIS OWN AND SLEEP FOR 10 HOURS STRAIGHT. NOW I'M DOING GOOD IF HE'S IN THE BED BY 11:00, AND HE'S UP BY 7:00AM. I AM ABOUT TO LOSE MY MIND BECAUSE I AM LIKE YOU IN THAT I DO NOT GET ANY SLEEP WHEN HE SLEEPS WITH ME AND MY HUSBAND. THIS IS STRESSING US BOTH OUT!!!!! ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.........BUT I EXTREMLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH!!
