I have been through a lot this year and am in a recovery period. I find myself so tired to the point I have to sleep several times a day in addition to the 8+ hours I get at night. I feel like I can barely function.
How can I shake this feeling. I know some of it is dietary I am sure and am making plans to change all that very soon. Right after our next shop.
I would meditate and breath deep, but I honestly think at this point I would fall asleep. I exercise, but feel more exhausted than when I started, afterwards.

don't put yourself under pressure all the time...take your own time to relax...see,there's nothing in this world...it's very short for us...so live it up to the most...a good sleep and warm exercises and doing what you like always makes you get rid of depression exhaustion...

I do love me some good sleep. I am truly not under much pressure these days. So I really have no good reasons other than I am not where I want to be and it is in conflict with my inner self.

Have you talked to your doctor? It might be helpful to go on medication temporarily as that can help with your depression and lethargy. My husband is a Viet Nam vet with PTSD and depression and, now that he's older, he's had to resort to medication which he functioned normally without for 30 years. When he's down he's like you are, no energy, very weak and can sleep all day and then go to sleep at night. In his case he'll be on some kind of medication for the rest of his life but for younger people who suffer from depression, the short term use of antidepressants has been shown to be very helpful.

I have no money or insurance for a doctor right now. And when I can get back to work, I will want to wait. No sense in breaking out the crazy meds before I am even hired in!

It is really hard. Because it is caused by the depression the only thing that would really help is a medication. Yes. Eating improperly;y well cause some of it. Especially if you are eating a lot of sugars. Also drinking caffeine can just add to it which you would think it wouldn't. Here are some natural remedies that might help:

Although it is not listed her. Peppermint is also really good mood modifier. Even the peppermint candies help.

Maybe if you learn to forget or move on and get to focus more on other interesting things out there then probably you will feel like you like to be awake more than sleeping, because there's a lot of things out there that you will definitely miss if you are always sleeping. So move on...

Doing more and lots of activity usually helps. Regular exercise and a good diet is also very important. Getting outside into the fresh air, meeting up with friends, going to the cinema, doing things that you enjoy.... hope you get well soon :)

Excercise will elevate the heart rate help bring u up a bit. It also releases natural chemicals which help combat depression. I am bipolar, borderline diabetic and also have high blood pressure. All of these things are treatable with exercise so that's what i'm doing right now also. I'm not talking about mad stupid stuff but like even walking or gentle tai chi. tai chi is awesome for that and very smoooth. excercise then shower and you should be able to go without sleep for a bit longer. I have the same problem with the exhaustion though. You know how all the new medicines are targeted at helping you absorb more seratonin? I think the sleepiness is the body's way of trying to force us to get more seratonin to lift our mood.
