Can you type without looking..?

I type best when I'm looking straight ahead at the monitor. If I have to type from copy, that is, with a piece of paper sitting next to me that I have to type, that totally messes me up. But I don't have to look at the keys to type at all - EXCEPT the top row, the numbers, because for some reason I never learned them!

Im more comfortable to type without looking than to type and look into the keyboard =0

I can type without looking but I don't really like too either.. I will mess up sometimes but i do good for the most part. I used to do it just for fun and to learn how/see if i could... it comes in handy when there is something on the T.V and you can't turn your head away lol but you have someone talking to you on instant messenger.

I can type without looking at the keyboard. I prefer to look at the monitor so I will know if what I'm typing is correct or not. I was a secretary before, that's why I got familiarized with the characters of the keyboard. Keep posting. HUGZ!

I usually don't look, but sometimes I do. I feel the same way as you. I think I mess myself up too. I can type pretty fast, but I'm not sure of the WPM.

If I am typing something from my own mind or heart... YES. But if I am typing something that I have to think about.. I stumble a bit. I can generally copy things too without looking too much but it gets harder since it isnt coming from me.. it does take a bit of practice, but it does come to you... Just dont think about what you are doing and just do it. it is like that with a lot of things actually. The less you think about it the better you can do it. Also learning where the backspace button is helps a lot too ;-)

I have been typing pretty much since i was 12, i love to type and i also went to school for it..but that was like 10 years ago...i used to type 53wpm wit 2 errors...now that is fast! but now i type 35-40wpm wit some errors...im not gonna say how many cuz i really dont know..hehe. But I dont look down when im typing it helps me do it better

Yes I can, it was something I always wanted to do when I was younger so went and took a couple of exams and I can now touch type, well have been able to for years. I still make mistakes, generally by typing to fast so missing out letter or spaces as my fingers work to fast and don't always type as hard as they should! I remember when I was younger there was a disc for the computer which taught you how to touch type, I would spend ages on it . . .sad but true. No,I still cannot type without looking at the keyboard,i have tried to learn it using different software's but not completed anyone of them lol.But i can type with an average speed by looking at keyboard i know which is not a unique thing.but next time I will definetly complete the tutorial(if i will start that boring stuff).

It depends. I usually look when I am typing a password, because some websites that I am a part of will block my account for up to fifteen minutes if I mess up too much. Otherwise, I do not look at the keyboard unless I am really struggling with typing a word. I can type rather fast, too. I can do about, for instance, five or six lines in a minute on the "Post a response" page on myLot if I am able to keep typing from a constant thought. But, I hit the backspace key a lot while I am typing, mostly.

hi payout(cute panda).....i can type without looking often but i should look cause i type too fast and get dyslexic with my letters. i'll have the right letters in mind and type so fast they are not it the correct order. so i'm similar to you. have a good day.

How i wish i could do it, typing with out looking. That would be very good. I tried several times but i am not successful. So i just stop my quest. But I know that there are others who can do it.

i do. i practically memorize every letters in my key board. i also had a class in typing when i was still in college. thats why i typed a bit faster.
