I've been reading a lot about this book and was wondering if anyone has read it? The author is new to me so I am unsure his style.
The reviews on the book look good and the theme is interesting.
Any feedback, positive or negative, would be much appreciated.

The title sounds quite interesting. Let me guess, the time is set at the end of the West Roman Empire. The legions which guards the Empire for ages just broke down facing the barbarian invasion. The main character is one surviving centurion and his life in the post-Roman socity.
A thriving story? I guess.
