It is hard to say,as both lying in different planes.Love is everlasting relation, and that is wonderful experience, and a boon of nature.Friendship is also an everlasting experience which is essential for a social animal like man.

hmm i think for me I choose friendship is better than love because as what i have observed with myself to my friend is that I'm more comfortable talking to him than my lover, because he can keep secret and also friends are forever even though you will not see each other again but your friendship is still there than a lover, there is a time that you will be quarreling for something and it turn to breakup so i better choose my friend than my lover...hehehe hope you don't mined!

I am not sure if which is better.. I guess it is up to the person whether he/she will choose to love or to continue the friendship.. Base on my experience, I choose friendship because I know that it is the best for both of us.. I don't know if I made a right choice but only thing I know is I'm happy with my choice.. I think it is really to the person on how he/she views the two..

Love has dimensions.Love for parents/brothers/sisters/wife/son/daughter/friends and many more. You don't have a friend if you have no friendly love for him/her.So love is love and friendship is friendship.Yes some times you may have some sudo-friendship to achieve some temporary goal where there may not be love.

Haha, this topic reminds me of a common plot in many romantic movies in which when your best friend falls for your lover, what should you do about that?Which one is more important?Love or friendship?I believe it is the moment that you're in a dilemma. Will you give up one for the other?I know you can hardly come to a compromise for the solution of this troublesome problem. You'd better not be involved into this situation.

I think this line from the movie Shenandoah says it all:
Charlie Anderson: Do you like her?
Lt. Sam: Well, I just said I...
Charlie Anderson: No, no. You just said you loved her. There's some difference between lovin' and likin'. When I married Jennie's mother, I-I didn't love her - I liked her... I liked her a lot. I liked Martha for at least three years after we were married and then one day it just dawned on me I loved her. I still do... still do. You see, Sam, when you love a woman without likin' her, the night can be long and cold, and contempt comes up with the sun.

I have a friend that I love dearly. I would rather have a lifetime of a loving friendship than a shorter time of being involved romantically. Now if the friendship turned into a lasting love relationship, even better :)
