I am glad I don't live in India. I really do not think that celebrating Valentines Day has a bad effect on people's culture because as you said, it promotes love and harmony between two lovers. Is there any reason why your country opposes celebrating Valentines Day?

I have no idea about this; to celebrate Valenties Day could promote local and some economy development such as gift, flowers, and others; for yong lovers, they could enjoy a nice day for single, they could expect for me, I have no idea, if the one I love live with me, I thought every day will be Valentiens Day, hehehehe....

Same here. I don't see what the fuss is about. In our country, Valentine's Day is like Christmas! Everyone (well, couples) are in a festive mood. Everything becomes triply expensive overnight but people bite it. All nice restaurants are full and expensive.. but people bite it. LOL! Maybe in those countries who oppose Valentine's Day, there must be a reason why. Probably clashes with heir beliefs, values and so on. However, they hould not look down upon those who do want to celebrate it.
