Is buying a PS3 worth it?

I'm going to say that the PS3 is the best piece of hardware that you can buy right now. Not just because it plays ps3 games but the PS3 is the best bang for your buck gadget out there right now. It's pretty much a jack of all trades, one of if not the cheapest blu-ray player out right now (plus full blu-ray 2.0 compadibility and blu-ray futureproof as well), internal harddrive allows you to install an OS to it (windows/linux) and you can turn the PS3 into a full ledged media center or even a personal home computer just for browsing the web on your tv (able to hook up keyboard and mouse and ethernal/wifi). It has full bluetooth support, plays dvds as well and its got the ps3 gaming capability. Thats my 2 cents on it. I might sound like a sony fanboy but really i'm not, i own all three (wii, 360 and ps3) and if anything i'm more of a 360 fanboy that ps3 i think 360 is better for gaming. But as far as best bang for your buck the PS3 is definately a buy. And there are great games out there for it as well.

My roommate has a PS3. She is more into the playing games. I don't play a whole lot of games but I sure love all the other features. My favorite is being able to get on and watch You Tube Videos on my big screen TV! They also have a feature in the Playstation store now where you can buy or rent movies directly on your PS3. I haven't tried that yet but I think its cool. Also can store Music and Photos. It is most definitely worth the money as it is much more then just a gaming system.

the 40gb doesnt play ps1 or ps2 games i think and the 80 does.. you should buy a 60gb of ebay i believe there the best for money. Playstation 3 are worth the money as you can install windows xp on there and you dont have to pay every month or year for the benifit of using it online like the Xbox 360 Playstation are also bringing out a new update called playstation home which is a very wanted update as it will bring gaming to a whole new level
