When I tell someone my age, they do not believe it. They say I look younger. And I have to show my pension card when there is a new cashier, but I do not like anyone telling me I am fat. I am not fat. I am underly tall, and large boned.

That is for sure. I mean some of the places will not give you a discount until you are sixty=five. And I do not look 65. I mean once I remove that scarf, I have the look of a woman much younger.

I don't mind if people ask my age - it's nothing to be ashamed about, and we all have one! However, if someone just came up out of the blue and said I was fat, I'd think they were very rude! Someone did once ask me when the baby was due when I wasn't pregnant ... which was embarrassing for them, and reminded me of my horrible, weak stomach muscles!

This is what I am trying to convey here, its like someone you never know then pops up and say "I think your fat" dude, what do they care?

There are ways of asking things. If some friend or anyone asks out of empathy I would not mind. On the other hand if someone asks just to make fun of me or laugh at me, I would be upset but brave it out by laughing at themselves.
Fats shouldn't be called fats - that's being rude and its justified.
smiles...

Often we can identify as to who makes fun and who ask a sincere question

Personally, it's not a surprise to me anymore if a person, a friend or an officemate or an acquaintance asks me about my age or comments about my physical figure. However, what I haven't experienced is when people unknown to me suddenly come up to me and do this. I guess it's because many people perceive me as a serious person. I have to admit that outside the house, I don't easily give a smile to people. In fact, some of my friends admitted that they used to think that I'm a snobbish type of individual.
But if people approach me with these kind of comments, I guess I'd take it with a grain of salt and won't delve on the issue. Honestly, I'm a petite mom who's a bit chubby so if anyone tells me I'm fat; I'd just reply that, "I'm not on diet anyway"; which is what I do utter whenever a co-employee comments. Believe it or not, it's not a lie. I just don't give much thought on being slim or skinny, as other females do. My reason is that; just as long as I'm healthy and not sickly, it's okay for me.
To add up, I know that I look older than my age and I attribute this to the stress and problems and struggles which I encounter; especially now that I'm already married and is faced with financial difficulty.

Staying healthy matters the most, I think we are almost same personality I mean, many people thought I am snobbish or something but when we become close friends, they would realize I'm not the person they think I am !

If someone told me I was fat, especially if I did not know this person, I would tell them that they are rude. Then I would tell them "I can diet and lose weight; how do you get rid of 'rude'?"
If they asked my age, I would ask them why they wanted to know, then I would ask them to tell me theirs, first.
If I knew the person asking, I'd laugh about the fat question and say, "No, I'm 'pleasantly plump'. If they asked my age, I'd tell them. I have no problem telling my age to someone I know.

Hello! first of all, i'd like to say thanks for the friend request. we're friends now in myLot! Well, if I were fat, i'd feel sad about it for sure because I don't really want to be fat at all. I'd do everything to control myself from getting fat. Right now, I think am just fine with my weight being just right for my height and body mass. As for my age, I really would'nt mind saying the truth about my age. Am really quite comfortable with these things. So have a nice day torchablazed! Thanks again!

I really don't find those questions offending. Though I know some who gets irritated whenever their ages are being asked. Weird!

I get asked my age all the time, and I don't mind because they always think that I am a lot younger than I really am. If someone told me that I'm fat, I would have to agree. I eat way too much junk food, but love every bite. I might feel bad for a minute, but I'm too set in my ways to really care about what someone else thinks about my weight. Well, unless it's my doctor. If he told me, I would probably listen.

If someone tell me I'm fat then I would say thank you for letting me know so that I can do something to shed some pounds. If someone ask my age then I would gladly say I'm 52 without batting an eyelash. I have nothing to hide anyway. I'm proud of my age because every year added to my age is a big blessing from God. So really I take no offense on personal questions or comments of that sort.
Have a nice day!

ROFL! If someone told ME I was fat, I'd probably hug them I stand about five foot nine and weigh about 103 so I am more like a stick figure than anything
As for the age, that wouldn't bother me, since I have always looked older than I am. People are still genuinely shocked when they find out I am only 57 they think I am closer to 90 LOL

"you're fat"
that's the reason why i was so determined to lose weight when i got reli fat. now i've lost close to 10kg and i'm proud of it.
so if anyone tell me i'm fat i'll laugh in their face and say they need to get their eyes checked!
bout my age, it's no big deal coz i'm just 19 years old and i looks like i'm 17.
maybe the age question is sensitive for those who's older and wants to be young.

If somebody told me I'm fat and it's true.
There's no reason to be angry. If someone
ask my age I will tell the truth. No big deal.

If somebody asks me a question i will answers it! i like to think i am an honest person so i have nothing to hide! If somebody told me i was fat then it would depend on how it was meant, if they were saying it just to be cruel i mkight be a little upset but i wouldn't say anything back - they are probably telling the truth, but i don't wake up in the morning or go to bed at night worried about my weight so i don't think there's a problem - if other people are bothered about my weight/height/size or whatever then it's their problem!! xx
