can anyone tll me what is the actual meaning of the word chat.

i think the word chat comes from the word 'chat' itself...like chatting with a person who is in front of u... Guess when it started on pc it sounded so much like the person is in front of you (like the telephone) that they called it this way...so...i guess...

chat means talking to someone. having a conversation while making friends. talking is to let you know someone and let that someone knows you.
