Do you prefer to eat in restuarants instead in your home?

Societies nowadays are much more ignorant in terms of nutrition and health and they only prefer to get to their food fast, to fill in their tummy.
I was speaking from my experience. When i was a working person (8-5), although i am not ignorant about nutrition and health, i choose to eat in the restaurant because having spent the whole day at the office, i would not want to go back home and tired myself more by cooking and having to do all the washing up. So i took the easier way out. And i believe the same goes to everyone out there.
But now, after i have resigned and become full time housewife, i choose to cook everyday for my family. I believe i am able to control everything during the food preparation, the oilyness, the sugar, the salt, the freshness of the food and etc.
Altho we have more choice eating at the restaurant, but we cant control the freshness, the preservative added in, the MSG, the servings (for those trying to lose weight) and others.
Fastfood takeout are also not that healthy although the claims that it is. It is oily, not freshly prepared (frozen from the manufacturer for dunno how long), processed food with lots of preservative, artificial flavourings etc.

I eat in KFC and the place you mentioned in your post, We have no choice but to eat there, sometimes we are working busy, so we have no other ways to eat any good food . All we can is to eat some junk food .
If possible, try to eat some healthy food, like Chinese food, good luck.
have a good day.

I prefer to eat at home anytime. That's because it's not noisy, not smelly with many people smoking and besides the home atmosphere is relaxing. Ever since I got married, I have been eating at home most of the time that's because I will cook. My husband and I both love to eat at home. Unless there's no choice then only we will eat outside but in economical places not restaurants. That's beyond our budget. But that does not mean we don't go to restaurants. We would go to DOME on special occasions like mine or his birthday or during our anniversary. iF there's family gathering or functions then we would go.

depends on the dish. there are actually some dishes the one's that take too long to cook or the ones that has too many ingredients. cause if it has too many ingredients you end up buying a lot of stuff for one dish. and if you can't use those ingredients for any other dish then you have to make lots of that certain dish. the problem is who's gonna eat all of it? can you bare eating the same dish for a week. for example lasagna.. you can't use lasagna sheets for any other dish.. it's lasagna so if you just wanna eat one and the dish makes like a bunch of servings it's really impractical. not to mention the time needed to make it. you have to bake it too. it's easier if you drive to a restaurant, order that certain dish and presto.. you eat and go..
eating out is usually the scene if you're single, living alone and you don't have time to cook. but if i had to choose.. i love home cooking..

If i could afford it i would have my main meal of day every day in a restaurant, I hate cooking and I really don't think anyone can cook meals like the chefs and cooks in restaurants, I would have a Chinese day, a Thai day, a seafood day, a noodle day, a gourmet day, a salad day and of course a McDonalds day....

It's the opposite for me. As a child, we would go to a restaurant regularly (not daily). It was either a special event or we just felt like some junk food.
Now that I have kids of my own, I prefer to cook at home and go out only once in a while. My son says I make the best home-made junk food!!!!

well, i still prefer eat at home. i cook my own meal. the only advantage of eating in restaurants is we are being served there. we don't need to cook and wash the dish. but i still think that eating at home is still healthier than eating in restaurants.

No, I really like to eat at my house better. I like going out to a restuarant to be a special event.
