A surprisingly high number of young women especially in the UK use mediums and spirit guides to help them make life choices. Be it selecting a life partner, buying a house, finding a new job or even getting out of debt. Have you ever visited a medium or spirit adviser. Did they help if you did. If you haven't visited one, would you consider doing so?

Strangely, my daughter was down for a visit the other day and told me she was going to visit a medium - recommended by her friends. I would never do it - I have no wish to know what may or may not happen. It's all a bit scary. A few months ago I had a very strange experience. I was walking past a certain house and was thinking what a pig sty it was - and something in my mind said, 'Oh well - it's going to burn down.' A few days later I heard sirens, and I knew it was that house. It scared the life out of me, and I certainly don't wish to have that sort of 'revelation' again.

Hi p1ke-I am a medium and normally people like to hear from a loved one who has passed...in readings they show you different things from perhaps earlier years that when you relay to the person only they know what you are talking about..not always fo they say wether you are doing the right thing or notother times they will say to the medium wether they give their approval or not of say moving,,finding a new job etc as you have asked.
We work through our Spirit Guides and rely on them to help spirit to come through to give us a message for the person we are reading for as all we are really doing is being a 'channel' between the physical and spiritual world-bright blessings littleowl

I have lived a very colourful life p1ke...getting back to your spirit family in spirit they are totally different forgiving what has happened and sorry for the way they may of treated a person eg: my grandfather when alive at the time I was born didn't want to know and as my mother has said he wouldn't even come to see me and I was the firstborn..when he was alive he was a very strict unemotional person apparently I never knew him..now though he actually is with me and is a cantacorous possessive with me many times I have told him off also I have my Grandmother with me..not only did I know it was them but on going to my spiritualist church it was actually confirmed by a medium that didn't even know me-know being a medium myself I know all those whom have passed in my family are with me...they are also with you!! Its just that you may not be receptive to them being there..have you ever been in a warm room then all of a sudden a cold chill has hit you? have you ever looked at say an ornament and said I didn't out that there knowing that none of your family had touched it? If you have one of your family are trying to get your attention...but also as you say there are many 'other' so called mediums out there that do prey on gullible people especially in a time of need or mourning its just finding a medium whom you know is genuine sometimes thats by word of mouth or through a spiritualist church that is the better way as they are genuine mediums...littleowl

If I had the money I would happily do so. But for now saddly I haven't been to one. I would love to have Sylvia Browne come for a visit and tell me all the goodies I have to look forward to and to sugarcoat the bad. Some don't believe in them and it is against their religion to seek the advice of a medium or spirit guide. But to me god gave them the knowledge to help others. Itis how they use it is what counts.

P1kefish: Your not nosy..lol
Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. My sister had hers read over the phone they told her she would have another child and since she had a hysterectomy done she hung up on them and thought it a hoax..well she has another child she has custody of her daughters baby..and her husband also has a daughter..so either way the physic was pretty much telling the truth..she does have another daughter..

Hey Mtdewgurl74!
If you are looking for affordable psychics, check out psychics who are in another country where the exchange rate is better for you. You can get it done over the internet through chat or microphone now. I do advice, to find out exactly what they do before you get a reading though. Also don't trust a psychic fully the first reading, take the reading like a grain of salt, not to seriously, because not all psychics can read everyone, and sometimes they will be reading your best friend or mom instead of you! Or nothing at all comes true. So first time for entertainment purposes is my suggestion.

No I've never visited a medium or spirit guide. My mum got thrown out of the spiritualist church once though, it was her first visit and she didn't believe a word of it. She was told that because she was a non-believer she would frighten the spirits away. I had thought about visiting a medium but his date at the Civic Hall was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. That sort of put me off.
My sister in law was told that someone close to her would give birth to a baby boy on 15-10, I was pregnant at the time, my little girl arrived on 16th. Doesn't give you much faith in them does it?
Thinking carefully, maybe I should have taken notice of the stars because me and Mr Croc are totally incompatible according to them.

LOL. Not up to much if they throw her out for non-belief. Surely they should have welcomed her in and proved to her that she should convert! I suppose that there may have ben a time delay between the 15th and 16th. Unless she was born at 15.10 or ten past three in old money. Mrs P1ke and I are incompatible too. That explains why we've been married for nearly 22 years but only spoken for one day!! She should be so lucky.

No she was born at 01.45 and has been awkward ever since, there was a 50% change of getting the gender right.

I have had a letter in the post today from a supposed psychic woman who claims to be my 'new friend' and wants me to send more details about myself. It went straight into the recycle bin as I can tell from the way it's addressed that she has bought my name from a website I've registered with, and she is just trying to make money.
I did have a friend who had sadly lost her child and she often consulted those people who claimed to have contact with those who have passed over into the spirit world. I did not argue with her that she was wasting her money because she obvioulsy got some comfort from it.
I do know some of the methods these people use to pick up on information which their clients claim they could not have known about their past life. As for predicting the future. Well, its easy enough for them to tell people what they know they want to hear.

Sometimes it is just psychic they tell me the future, sometimes they tell me what my issues are and help me find a solution, or give me direct messages from my guides when I can't hear them. I don't go to a channeler, I do my own channeling.

I never was interested in visiting a medium even when I was young. There was an Ouija card at the place I worked, and someone said I would be close friends or the female version of a man called John, but I know so many people that it could be anybody. I was told that I would bear two children by someone who looked at my hands and I had a long life line, well we adopted two, I had one birth child before marriage, and unless God performs a miracle, it is doubtful I will give birth to another child. In both these cases, I did not ask for the revelation they volunteered and no one took them seriously.
I would never consider visiting one now. I mean as a Christian I cannot believe in someone who communes with a spirits and do not want to. Not even in fun or to find out what they say.

Thank you. I would not give up my faith for anything, and in fact, I would even die for it. So if persecution arrives, I will be willing to face the bullets, or the banishment from my land whatever comes first.

Hi P1kef1sh, Many years ago I did go to a guy who told me that the guy I was seeing was having business worries, well at the time this didn't ring true at all as that day he had phoned to say he had got a new contract which would mean work for the next six months but on arriving home my mumm said that he had phoned so I called and he told me it had all fallen through and as no other work available was going to have to sign on in the morning. I haven't been to one since and doubt if I will again. I tend to trust my own gut instinct more these days than anything. Ellie :D

Yes there are many genuine people out there but also very many charlatans and it is so easy for them to say I can see someone you are close to in your life with the intital S or J. Probablity says that you do eh! Most popular letters of the alphabet to name people. Also some people just want to believe and therefore the faintest distance truth will become real especially if they have lost someone dear to them. Ellie :D

Not for me Piky,im sure that I have told this story before, but I will tell it again. My sister is a great fan of mediums and when she visits the UK ,she will try to see one.Well one of the last times she came she visited one who belonged to a church in Heanor..and she was a very old lady..she aked about different family names ,and there was a lot of information that she was spot on with, then she decided that there was someone called `Jack` who was there, and he wanted to have a word with my sister, she was doing the regression thingy, well Jack was my fathers name..and my sister said No she didnt want to talk to him..but it was all very surreal and more than I felt comfortable with..if that had been me lol I would have been out of the door long before Jack came into the equation!!..but when you think they are often used by the police,so is there anything in it?

That is interesting Ruby. Spooky too. But I do wonder. Jack was a not uncommon name for people born in the early years of the 20th century. Most of us know a Jack somewhere along the line. However, if it was your father.... Have you ever wondered what he might have wanted to say? I remain open minded. But I've just come across a mystic/Medium who is a myLotter and I hope that she might drop in here.

I dealt with many of them but I found out something very important they could not see my future and that was crucial for me. They could see my past and present life right now but not future and I found out later why they could not and that made my life much easier!

Hi I am a medium and also read the tarot cards you may think nothing of it but mediums are just a channel to the spirit world but when I use my tarot cards they are just a guide as to what spirit is telling me through them I am able to let people know things from the past present and future the future part could be a few months or years even so the tarot is just a guide as to what really how your spirit guide is able to help you get the message to the recipient...eg yourself..and not meaning to brag but the readings I have given so far through 13yrs have all been mainly accurate... also realise there are a lot of charlatans out there so it is always advisable to go someone who has been recommended by someone-blessed be littleowl

I have never actually gone to a medium myself. I took my youngest sister with us to New Orleans one year. She wanted to go to a medium. She was only 13 at the time. I pulled her aside and told her IF this woman did do a reading for her, not to take it to heart, it was probably just a tourist attraction type thing. She came out quite pleased with her reading. Some of the things the medium told her were not general information things. They were pretty in depth and pertained to our family specifically.
I have always believed that there are people who have gifts, but I am skeptical of most who claim to have such gifts. I don't think that I would ever seek one out though.

Yeah, knowing what questions to ask is key. That is why I don't think I would say much if I were to go visit a medium. I would like to go in sit down and say, "Ok, tell me what you know." and let them go from there. I don't want to answer questions or tell them anything about myself, just what can you tell me by me just sitting here in front of you.

no, i haven't. i think it would be fun to try just to have someone decide the course of my life for me even if it's an intangible not-really-real being.
i don't really not believe in paranormal... but i don't lay stock in it either. like i'm too afraid to believe and too cautious to explicitly say it's not real just to be proven wrong in a not so pleasant way...

Hi p1kef1sh, I had my fortune told with cards one time, but that's as close as I've come to that sort of thing. Looking back now, I believe everything worked out much as she said it would. I am interested in that sort of thing but not sure how much I believe of it. The story of Edgar Cayce is very interesting and I think believable, but I'm sure there are many out to make a fast buck. Blessings.

In the year 2008 and close before that, people, who for centuries did forego superstition, have now gone back to it.
This is what the ancient witches and other spiritualists used to do.
They make money from it and lead people away from God with it.
For Heaven's sake, and I know what that sounds like, don't be so foolish !

hi pike
yes i have been to a few, but was disappointed. One told me for sure id be getting my disability after trying a few times, needless to say i still dont have it.
funny how they never tell you anything about you. or something that happened to you that maybe only a few know. something to make you believe.
Now i know my mom and i have gifts. And yes i have read cards. But most who do don't read their own. They ask someone else to do so, and i wouldn't pick someone who knows you really well.
And doing it online is a joke even on the chat rooms, they look at your profile, and say oh i see you like to do drawing, well if on your profile you stated you are an artist, and do this and that, well what do you expect.
And another thing, never tell someone things about you . Let them tell you, afterall isnt that what you are paying them for. One of my good friends who did know me, and she knew i was looking for mr right, told me somethings that did and have come true and i have a tape of it.
But she told me this, if people truly have a gift of knowledge then it is a gift from God, and you don't ask people to pay you for a gift.
Now how many of you have paid for a reading. But ask yourself did they already know you, and how much of yourself did you already give them.
I would love to meet someone who could tell me something about me, who first doesnt know me, or my family. And isn't asking for anything.
It is hard to find an honest person. Good luck.

I have to say Lish that I have never visited one and don't have very much inclination to do so. I take each day as it comes and triumph and disaster likewise. One thing that I have noticed though is that if a guide says that they have a member of you family there and you ask how they are, the reply is invariably "They say that they are happy". I'd want to know way more than that. Where do they live, what can they see, how's Aunty Mabel? etc etc. But I rule nothing out and am open minded about it all.
