When you become a "Christian" I mean praticing to become Christ like why do people still commit the same sins. Are we not new creatures in Jesus Christ and old things are passing away. However, everday people are practicing sin claiming to be a "Christian". I believe the word Christian has become a label instead of a lifestyle. Can people stop sinning? My thoughts is that we can if we start becoming Christ like and having a relationship with Jesus Christ until we become one with Him.

People are fallible, not perfect. That is what people strive for. That is why Forgiveness is a big part of Christianity. It may be a label for some. But most would disagree with saying its a label.

Your right forgiveness is a big part of Christianity and it for everyone. However, most people don't realize that sin destroys the soul and alienates you in the spirit. Therefore even if forgiveness is available the sin in people lives keeps dominiating them because there mentality is I have a bank of forgiveness available in which I can withdrawl from. However, they never move into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Because the more your relationship grows...you no longer want to sin. Taking the above in consideration this is what I mean Christianity is a label for most people because they want to continue praticing sin. And practicing sin is the key word here. I am not talking about someone who make a mistake. I am talking about "Christians" who practice sins.
