Is it just me or when your doing laundry and it comes time to match up the dreaded socks, that there are always some missing? Now i have 3 hampers and don't have to worry about going up and down stairs to do laundry but there are always socks missing and it is so frustrating!years ago i think it was fruit of the loom that had a commercial about the sock monster who would steal just 1 sock and sometimes i think he does exist-lol. I even went as far as mismatching socks for my kids and it doesn't bother them. i dread matching socks, because all i hear is the cash register going off because i know i'm going to have to buy more.

You might be on to something, GrammaFood. The sock monster sometimes hides in the washer and sometimes in the dryer. It's frustrating. I always make sure there are two of each sock going into the washer. Sometimes only one comes out, but I can't find where it might have gone. Then, I also make sure two of each sock goes into the dryer. (For those that didn't make it out of the washer in a pair, I put the one sock on a drying rack to see if the other shows up again sometime.) Sometimes only one sock comes out of the dryer. But there doesn't appear to be anywhere where the missing socks could be hiding there either.

YES it does exist..he hides in the lint trap and only comes out at night. He needs at least three individual socks of different types, to tie together to let himself out. He then runs around the house at night screaching and laughing in a tone inaudible to human ears. But climbs back up his rope just before the break of dawn to disapear before he is noticed by the waking mammas.......At least that is the story my older sister told me when I was about three. But now I am convinced her story is no fable!!
