Husband vs my Soul Mate?

I met my best friend in 4th grade, and we've been practically attached at the hip ever since. We are as close as two people can be without being romantically involved. Today, we are both happily married women, but we still have this unspoken connection between us (even though we live 600 miles apart!). I think our husbands are jealous. Our bond is clear to anyone around us for a few seconds, and I think it makes the men especially feel left out. All of my other friends who are married or in signifant long-term relationships consider their significant other to be their soul mate. I can't help but wonder- are my best friend and I weird in this respect? I believe my husband and I are meant to be together- we both knew it within a month of dating that we'd be together forever. But I wouldn't consider him to be my soul mate. Thoughts?

I have a best friend that I speak to every day and do thing with. I think we are very close however my husband is my soul mate. I could not imagine my life with either one of them. I guess I am very lucky that I have a husband that think I am perfect and my friend is great. I am happy they get along so well and we have no difficulties. She has been my friend for about 30 years and I have been married almost 20 so I believe you can have both with no problem.

I think its great that you have a friend like that. I think its possible to have a soul mate that you love and marry and I think you can also have a soul mate friend. You and your friend are obviously that. Its great to have such a strong bond with someone. I'd say if you and your husband knew you were meant to be together after a month of dating then he's your soul mate too.
